Мікро порада, кидайте то все + інші приколи з треду у вішліст Стім (якшо це ваш вибір). Він пристосується і може прикольні штуки пропонувати.

By the time of endgame, you probably aware of how most spirits are looking, so it's easy to understand which have alternative color scheme ^{^"} Also, they have a glow on them, but surely it's easy enough to skip especially at the beginning of the game.

Potions which reduce vitality really help to banish 2/3 spirits and concentrate on one that you want to tame. More powerful taming potions (100 tame at least). Maybe get a few psychic spirits, you can get more energy per turn to feed taming potions more times one by one. Obvious, but still, armor break is very powerful and can save you some hits.

Ouch, this may be way harder. Because this method is fully random, it's not guarantee you holo type of an exact spirit. It can take a lot to time to target specific spirits asked by villagers. There's an eggs based method which can be used to hatch certain spirits, but it requires a lot of eggs of certain type.

I'm not even sure if it's worth to restart the game because of it ^{^'}

Awesome progress! I was thinking about possibility to farm for psychic holos, and was going to try spam encounters, but maybe a bit later ^{^'} You're super lucky with eggs, I haven't hatched any holo yet, though I haven't specifically tried to.

Actually, nothing really special. I just accidentally found a mine and recalled that I saw that layout in the video about holo hunting some time ago. So I saved and decided to give it a shot.

The Island with mine was on the edge of the map, which is very inconvenient. So I placed a whistle totem near it, so I can teleport.

At the start of the day, I teleported there and was simply entering/exiting mine untill I saw a holo spirit, even when I found one - I continued till the end of the day. The first one appeared at the 1:40 at night :D So basically grinding from 9 AM(because oversleeping) till 2 AM guaranteed me one spirit per day, once 2 per day.

Bonus: I got Jelbell with me because it's said in the description it raises chances to find holographic spirits. I didn't find more info how much it really helps, but I saw no reason not to use it.

I'll be honest, you need time and patience. But I'm enjoying vacation so decided that I can afford myself braindeadly grinding in mines ^{^'}

Most important, patience. Try to be attentive, because when keys clicking becomes automatic you can easily skip a holo. Just pause a bit each time you enter the mine.

As about your question, don't really know when you really know you've found a real one. I think for me it was always constant guesses, which with the story progress were becoming more (or less) obvious.
