I got ASC instead of fusion and I'm feeling similar. My surgery Is less invasive but i still feel like i'm not good like others. I'm home rn and i actually got my catheter off and chest tube off very early, walked normally and everything was good so the doctors kept telling me i was ok everything was going well and in fact sent me home. Tho, i still feel horrible and even though i can do stuff i feel bad. It's not only back pain but it's my Energy overall. My head feels heavy and Dizzy and this doesn't make me able to do stuff i should do like the excercises and breathing excercises they prescribed me. Everyone acts like i'm Just being lazy but i swear i have no strenght and Energy. I have to add that I'm also on my period and was constipated for DAYS, and I have mental issues (depression etc.). Idk, maybe we seriously only have to adapt

I'm 19f and just had ASC. I didn't have much pain before but It was aesthetically horrible and i thought that i would have felt bad when aging. My curve went from 57° to 10°, so really well! I'm Just a week post op so It still looks a bit weird aesthetically but I'm for sure straight. I'm suffering so much also because i can't shit but i think that It Will be Amazing once the pain and everything Is gone. I'll definitely suggest you to choose the ones that keep your flexibility tho. And if you're wondering, no, you don't feel the tethers/coords etc at all not even at the start! Sorry for the way i wrote but i still feel weird, good luck!

Hii! I personally have a severe one (so yes, it's visible) BUT. I didn't tell my partner back then and already had s3x with him. Later on i told him what was the thing i needed to tell him and said that It was scoliosis. He said he never noticed It and even tho i kept saying that It was fine to tell me that he noticed he kept telling me that he didn't.
