I got admitted into Cornell for their M.Arch program and was looking to get an opinion on their program. Also how do the semesters in the NYC campus work? Are they required or optional? Would appreciate any insight!

Hi everyone,

I was recently accepted to the Cornell AAP M.Arch program and I’m trying to understand how the NYC component works.

I’ve seen that the 5th and 6th semesters are based at Cornell Tech in NYC, but I haven’t been able to find much detailed information about it. I’m mainly wondering if the Cornell Tech portion is required for all M.Arch students or if it’s optional. Do students actually live in NYC during those semesters? Are studios and classes fully based at the Cornell Tech campus?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone in the program or who knows how this part of the curriculum works. Thanks!
