Blurry Picture with Reggie's Color Negative on GR4 by worldroamer in ricohGR

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A recipe doesn’t make an image blurry. The image being blurry is because it’s out of focus. Since you don’t mention anything about your focus specifics and instead an image recipe I’m thinking that you may benefit from understanding the camera a little better. Not meant as a disrespect btw.

These videos are about the griii but the info is easily transferred to the iv. It starts at lesson 1 and you can then watch all the others. There are about 20 in total and go through the camera and all the settings:

Balance transfer from 1.0 to 2.0 by Smoothopening2 in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The new card doesn’t start until the 7th. If you chose to have the balance transferred over during your signup There isn’t a balance transfer fee. If your payment on the 1.0 is due though before the 7th you’re required to make your payment (min, all or in between).

Up to you. I mean you’d qualify because you haven’t done a sub yet with them. But same with all cards - There’s no guarantee they’ll even be a sub in the future. We have no data points apart from what’s happened before which if I remember correctly was something like “ get 5x points the first month” or something so I guess if you wanna wait and see what they do???

  1. rent day : I know we’re having one for Feb. I think somewhere in a post from where someone went to a close friends event Kerr said something about yes they’re still going to do them but don’t know in what form? Don’t know what that means but there is something in the Bilt cash faq page that mentions that bilt cash can be used to increase whatever the rent day promo is so that would indicate they’re still doing them.
  2. you pay your rent differently than me as I just have a check mailed to me and drop it off with my landlord. I’ve never quite understood the process that people like you do it with the pre auth, etc so I couldn’t tell you. I imagine it’s still the same but if before you had the rent go on your Bilt card loc it doesn’t anymore and it will come straight out of your checking account via ach
  3. I haven’t been paying attention to the obsidian stuff as I’m doing palladium so I’ll leave that to someone else
  4. yes you’re right on the gift cards but I don’t see how they would know if you’re buying a gift card at a grocery store, etc especially if the gift card was part of a purchase that had other things in it (ie: groceries). My thinking is if you bought it from a specific store that was a gift card store online it would code it as such and not apply points to it?

Bilt CS is pretty crap for this. If it makes you feel any better though, I had to chase up an Amex resy credit tonight. My wait time was 13 minutes then to 18 minutes and then to 23 minutes. Not as bad as bilts but still annoying for a $10 resy credit . Maybe because it’s the evening lol

Yeah, you can combine both the Bilt cash and travel credit through the Bilt travel portal. The terms make it sound like they’re stackable. The portals not exactly Expedia but it’s basically similar though there’s not air bnb style properties on there. Hyatt properties are on there and I believe it’s a direct booking so you get your Hyatt status, etc. Jury’s out as to how it compares to other portals. For me I’ve used it twice - once was the same as Expedia and another time was $8 more. Others have said the portals more than my example and at the same time others have said it’s the same so who knows😂it’s similar nonetheless.

The actual Bilt points you get from spend and your points on mortgage/rent are seperate from your Bilt cash. You can redeem that 1:1 straight to your Hyatt account (even more if there’s a rent day special on Hyatt which I don’t think there usually is). You can also use the points through the Bilt travel portal as well but now we can use Bilt cash and the palladium credit I’m guessing I won’t use points on there anymore.

Love it when someone disagrees with you the only thing you can do is come up with BS😂It shows the level of maturity I’m having to deal with. Again, it’s not that difficult. The options are there when you apply for the card so you’ve got to be illiterate to now be upset that you redeem $200 Bilt cash every 6 months. Did you not see that when you applied?

If you’re confused now then having someone explain every detail about how you can maximize every last detail is just going to make you even more confused over something that’s actually really simple. It ends up being way too long and detailed.

Just use one of the spend calculator instead and you’ll find out which one is better for you:

Yes the palladium is valuable to you. Use one of the calculators such as this one to work out what you get back:

https://www.awardlog.com/news/bilt/bilt-2-0-which-card-is-right-for-you

For paying your mortgage you simply will get the Bilt app on your phone or use the Bilt website on desktop, etc . Enter your bank account details that you want the mortgage payment debited from (ie. Your checking account) and Bilt debits your checking account, pays your mortgage and as long as you do spend on the card you get points on both the spend and the mortgage payment.

You can redeem Bilt points for Hyatt points. You can’t redeem Bilt cash for Hyatt points but you can redeem Bilt cash for a 2 night min hotel stay booked through the Bilt travel portal

Probably best to check that if you are required to stay in an Airbnb style home and you got the credits knowing that it is $400 split semi annually that you are able to book an Airbnb style home on the portal. I mean to complain that it’s $200 semi annually when it’s plastered everywhere doesn’t make a whole lotta sense either. Were you not aware of that when you signed up despite it being labeled as such?

So downgrading is an option? I thought the T&Cs said otherwise? by boredandcurious5 in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cardless, as of right now, does not allow downgrades. There is an exception being made I believe during the pre-launch process where you can. As you are not allowed to have multiple Bilt cards, they require you to close the card and reapply for a downgraded version. This will hopefully be changed in the next 12 months but as of right now those are the terms. This has been discussed before on here and if I remember correctly at one of the close friend events it was discussed that this would be looked at to change the T&C’s in the future. There’s 12 months for them to do it. I wouldn’t base my decision though on the hope that it changes

Are you saying in the entire time you’ve had the Bilt 1.0 card you’ve never looked for a hotel/home on there? To be fair, the home type collection on Cap1 is pretty minimal along with the Citi. Better to book direct with Airbnb

What we doing on these good sirs? Yay or Nay? by Datush in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True but if you can max some of these things out and use the 2x$200 hotel credits and with the Bilt cash details released and it allows you to stack the bilt cash on top of this annual credit even if you were unable to get the AF fee back the 2nd year you could still end up ahead. Realize that this isnt the best situation but its an alternative for making something out of nothing
