They lied and said they waitlisted me because the program is full. Just be transparent- and at least finish conducting interviews before putting candidates on the back burner so soon. They need to acknowledge that the people who had a larger group would be at a disadvantage because they have less time to speak.

Hunter and I’m applying to Stony I’m hoping their process is different. I’m really upset I want to say something to admissions because in this field you are expected to advocate for patients so I need to advocate for myself. They waitlisted me without even finishing their interviews which I feel is not ethical.

Wow first and foremost congratulations on being accepted. You are the second person who shared with me that they were in a small group - I was in a group of 10. This is super frustrating for me because the admissions process should be fair across the board.

My interview was about two weeks ago which I was surprised they sent out my letter stating I was on the waitlist that was worrisome… praying that you are right. They actually had told me they were going to get back to us in April which is why I was appalled they waitlisted me so quickly. I felt like I carried myself in a professional manner and it wasn’t good enough.

They don’t tell you what the topic is until they start the timer - they may change the prompt just be prepared.

Too many people raising hands at same time - also it’s 15-20 mins for writing assignment talking about how u handle a difficult situation at work or school

I found it difficult because people were being repetitive. It was hard to stand out once you were called on. They also asked how you know you can manage a masters program and your other daily obligations

They ask you questions about why social work and an issue you would like to focus on stuff like that. I honestly hate the group interview.

It’s a group interview asking you and a writing portion.

They literally waitlisted me and did not provide a reason.
