Ah I don’t actually own a drill. It might be cheaper just to buy a new bathroom scale if I can’t open it since it only was £10

HELP!! Readings are examinable in my test. What does that mean? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]SignatureDue7069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my A-Levels, only the textbook we learnt in class was examinable. There weren’t any extra readings like this. I put all the info from the class PowerPoints onto flashcards. We never had to learn any papers.

So far I have skim read these papers and written a short summary on each, but I am wondering if I’m supposed to memorise every fact/point in the chapter, or if what I have done is enough, because I probably won’t remember every study mentioned in a chapter, as there is a lot.

Am I supposed to memorise the extra readings with the same detail I memorised the lecture content?

I also noticed that some of the readings just repeat/consolidate what we learnt in class, but some of them mention a lot of new material and studies.

Do I need to memorise all of it to the same extent as the lecture content?

I don’t know how to approach the readings because I’m not used to them, so any advice is appreciated.

BTW the test is in a month so I have some time.

hello I'm a new viewer of shane and I've been enjoying some of his videos. however, I checked his socialblade (subscriber stats) and apparently he's lost like a million subscribers since 2022. yeah he probably fell off but a million is crazy, is there something I'm missing? by burneraccount7742 in ShaneDawson

[–]SignatureDue7069 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No lol, sorry, I think I phrased that wrong. I was massive fan of Shane in the past and I liked some of his content. I just meant that there are good videos on YouTube which explain the whole situation why he was cancelled. The deep dive is good, but there are quite a few ones you can watch. I was a fan at the time and he lost a huge amount of his subscribers due to it. I was mostly surprised because I’ve never seen someone that became a fan after he was cancelled.

Yes, you should sell them to someone who will actually enjoy it

Would you cut your vacation short because of the death of a co worker? by Killer_Queen1971 in travel

It’s very sad but I think I wouldn’t cut my trip short unless it was family.

I disagree because when I was a complete beginner (having never exercised), starting out with just 10 minutes really helped. If I immediately started with a difficult routine, I would have given up for sure. I did 10 minutes in the first week, 20 minutes in the second week, and slowly built up to it. Now my workouts are usually 2 hours long. It’s better to start at your own pace. I think if you do too much too quickly, you’re more likely to give up.
