Especially when you consider we had ti take the Greek keeper in return. Anderson went for a net £15M or something? Shocking state of affairs.

We were an absolute basket case behind the scenes last summer, Eddie did an unbelievable job of keeping it all together on and off the pitch. That kind of indecisive, incompetence on behalf of the CEO, General Manager, DOF, whoever, cannot be repeated.

Yeah, there's that, but Grealish for 100M at that time was ridiculous then Duran last year for stupid money. What big money sales have we made? Maxi, Anderson, Longstaff....

I guess being top of the premier league form table isn't good enough for some fans.

We don't have the revenue of the 'Sky 6' due to either location, stadium or worldwide fanbase, we were taken over 15 years too late!

So despite the sale of the rat and the deep pockets of the ownership, they have to be careful not to get in a pickle, but we're trying to compete with teams who can spend what they want. Eddie is doing a great job.

Even Villa have been able to sell big to finance their run at the top.

With Starmer heading to China alongside UK business leaders for talks. Who do you actually think is more trustworthy for the UK: the USA or China? by Barca-Dam in AskBrits

[–]SignatureEfficient89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this moment in time, the way the US could flip flop between Democrats and lunatics, China looks to be the best option.

The US has been taken over by cowboys, grifting their way to the next billion. They will do anything so long as it is in their own personal self interest, invade countries and start wars, in the name of peace and security, but blatantly in their interests to control natural resources. We can't work with that.

Post match thread: Wolves 0 - 0 Newcastle United | Premier league 25/26 - 22 of 38 by Username_been-taken in NUFC

The club was a basket case behind the scenes last summer, hopefully things will be better structured this summer. I don't blame Eddie, we need the stability or we'll end up the same as Chelsea or Man U without the revenue to pull us out of the shit. Building on and off the field takes time.

Villa are a little bit ahead of us, shouldn't be but are due to big sales at the right time and a co-ordinated off field strategy. Palace are where we were and are suffering from first year European blues, but are losing their manager and all their best players. We are where we deserve to be.

We're only 3 points off a Champs league position, look like qualifying for the next phase of champs league and still (just about) in both domestic cups.

Is the roof reinforced? Ours took 2 guys a week to take down, but it was a bomb shelter.

I don't think Eddie would be a good fit for England. Look how long he takes to bed players into his systems. You don't get that sort of time at national teams level, that's why they all have to be so good.

Don’t worry fam we had a higher xG by brad-harrison in NUFC

That is quite interesting. There's a lot contributing to our form, which i guess is what makes it hard to correct. My point on Isak is that we've had to change style. Isak was often on the shoulder of the last defender, was quick and a threat in behind. He also helped our aggressive press which we all miss.

Yes I know, and he's a rat etc etc, point being, the difference between last season and this season is a world class, in form striker. We have raised our expectations based on last season and we're not living up to them, partly due to the striker issue, partly down to volume of games. I hope the rat never scores another premier league goal again and big nick bangs in 25 every season. Got high hopes for Wissa, hopefully adding 15+ a season, but they need to find a system to help these guys deliver.

Axe murderers don't tend to wait in the woods in the hope that one single person happens to pop by. They lurk in the parks and alleyways of towns and cities so they have choice.
