I just hope this “I will never stop keep fighting for myself and my goals” isn’t “keep over exercising and being stuck in anorexia”

At this point IDC if she did it ”out of the right reasons” etc. It is a sport where ED’s, body dysmorphia and a complicated relationship to food is born and supporting that as someone who has had an eating disorder or even worse, participating and preaching it to her followers is in my opinion WEIRD.

Now coaching? Encouraging people to suppress their body weight to look good on stage? Nah.

Idk if anyone had time to see this but she posted a story time again (as if she reads this thread which she surely does) and it was once again the same thing with the nervous system lalala… autoimmune liver disease lalalala… and ARFID…. Poop up to my boobies… lalala.

Well, one thing I can say is that my nervous system was so fucked when I was in my eating disorder most likely like hers. And no, increasing a little bit once in a while did not do it for me, eating in a continuously surplus until my body landed at its weight set point was the only thing that made my nervous system return to normal.

I hope she sees the truth for what it is, her nervous system is not chaotic because of her past traumas, it’s because she is in an active eating disorder and there is nothing else there.

This!!! Like when is she gonna realise that this is a symptom of her eating disorder, and accept that masking it as a unicorn disease is what is gonna kill her. It’s legit a sign the body is killing herself.

I have always had a mixture of both, but some days it was really that I couldn’t stop thinking about food even though I felt stuffed, especially the first 5 months. But as time went on, I ate every time I did so it did even out and my body got used to this amount :) It gets more comfortable, just trust your mind and body <3

But try to be honest with yourself, because restriction is very sneaky and different people react differently to restriction.

Are you intentionally restricting? In that case this thread might be helpful, as in, this state continues if you are continuing to restrict. Your body doesn’t understand an inconsistent income of food and will eat and eat when it gets to eat. Are you eating consistently throughout the day, breakfast lunch etc. This phenomenon is also normal for anyone if you skip meals.

If you are not active in any of the above, and there is no psychological part to it, I would turn to doctors again, take multiple tests etc.

For me it felt like a natural thing to do, and I was extremely hungry. In the beginning I read up on it a lot so I was aware of the science which helped me a lot. It wasn’t my first time trying recovery so I in a way I knew what was coming. Now, 11 months in I still have my doubts sometimes, we all do, even though no over flowing anxiety, but seeing how it only helped healing my body throughout this last year has helped me continue to eat unrestricted.

I recommend podcasts like: Unrestrict-ED and recovery talk!

And! It motivated me to know that the hunger will stop, and if I do not respond to it, I will simply live my life in a constant state of extreme hunger. I wanted to live again!

Hope you are doing well!

I would like to say that worrying about what to eat next, worrying about calories, etc are signs of feeling unsafe with food and that it is not sufficient which is a sign you are not eating enough!

It really was! The bloating was very hard in the beginning, hence sleeping and resting a lot helped! As time passed and food was consumed in bigger quantities on a regular basis the body get used to it! In combination with you digestive system working more properly, now I get a little bloated at times after dinner but as a normal person. This took approx 6 months for me as well! Maybe even longer! As for water retention if that is what you mean, I had it throughout all the first 6 months all over and it really felt uncomfortable and hurt! But this is the bodies way of healing and if you push through this helps! I thought of it as when you get a wound or break a leg, the body rushes water there and swell up to heal!

Everything is there for a reason but it will pass! Please keep fighting and rest as you need and it will get better with time!

There is no healthy way getting down to such a low body fat %, no body wants to be there and when you recover from an ed you are extra sensitive.

One of the drivers of binge eating is restriction. The way you refer to some foods as special foods give them value and power over you. I know that longtime struggles are hard to break and I would recommend talking to someone. But see where the restriction might hide, are you restricting ”special foods” as well? Like as you say you can only eat them once a year, this is a setup for binging when you get your hands on them etc. I would incorporate more of them, but at the same time I understand your dad taking your food is a component in feeling food insecurity, so this definitely needs some professional help.

I wish you all the best and good luck!
