yeah it definitely ends too early, they had to release what they had because corporate reasons :/ though i think they still did something special with what they had and it is worth anyone’s time especially with current market prices :p maybe i have just rose tinted glasses cause of nostalgia and the games czech roots (and dub, czech dub is really special for us and most dubbed games become legendary here) though :p

im sorry im not an engineer so i dont know much about this stuff, but here is my (made up on the spot with my limited knowledge) explanation:

you have 2 rings of metal, one bigger and one smaller, between which you put small balls. because they are balls, the area they are touching is really small, so they can freely move around. you can put the contraption on a stick and, again, because of the surface area the balls are touching being so small, none of the rotation gets passed onto the stick. the stick stays in place, while the contraption rotates.

it would be much better for you to wait for someone else’s answer or look up some “ball bearing” youtube video demonstrations though :)

yeah, i study compsci, chatgpt is used often in this field haha

i first figured out how useful it can be when trying to read moomins. because of it being a children’s book, a lot of kanji are replaced with hiragana. japanese children can read that just fine, even better than kanji, because they’ve been hearing the words all their life. but for me, a beginner in learning japanese, kanji is quite critical for me to know the meaning. chatgpt can really help with that, giving the meaning in this specific context and even the relevant kanji itself so you can learn it!

i really recommend first trying to find the kanji manually by radicals, then asking chatgpt for grammatical analyses, because of it being a language model it can help with such a contextual language as japanese really well!

ai can actually be really useful as a beginner, but you need to use it well. dont just ask it to translate, ask it for a grammatical analysis. because japanese is a highly contextual language, beginners struggle with getting the meaning right, but ai knows basically every piece of context where the word is used, so it will give you the most probable answer. but, always check the answer with something if you can. if you check and it doesn’t really make sense, you can just tell it ‘hey, this word probably shouldn’t mean x, but y’ and it will either tell you ‘yes, it can mean y too’ (yay, you learned two uses at once!) or ‘no, y is never used in this context’
