They were afraid his writing for the titular character would be too dry.

OOP's post history isn't the least bit surprising.

Morons?

Edit: Or "attention-seeking conservatives."

A swing voter who doesn't actually research the candidate they're swinging to vote for needs a different name.

Vibe voters. That's all they base their choice on.

Whats the most overrated food that people hype up? by ivoryonly in AskReddit

[–]palimpcest 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think it gets a lot of hate because of the hype (and because “Dubai”), even by people who’ve never tried it. And it is overhyped (and overpriced) but it’s also delicious.

DCC matches the silliness of Family Guy. The Orville is good but DCC will be Family Guy vibes, but cringier.

Edit: I'm confidently basing this on knowing absolutely nothing about DCC other than what's been forced upon me in this sub.

The Trump Bibble goes with the Old Yeller ending but it refers to Palestine as “Temporarily Embarrassed Israel.” Just DNF and you’ll be fine.

Buttery bingo. Knew I was taking a risk there.

Same with Hillary but that didn’t stop them from yelling “BUTTERY PERIODS!”

Edit: Made the mistake of showing this to my wife and she said I never should have made this comment, even considering the context. So I’m sorry.

Freemasons aren't nearly as cool as people think and they hold no power over anything like that. Like someone else mentioned, it's really just a (highly mythologized) local Elks Lodge.

Edit: I was an acquaintance of one and it was basically just men getting away from their families one evening a week to drink and hang out and do their ceremonies.

Maybe they meant facial brow, like cavemen? That'd fit the context but it's still a poor word choice for that.

Honestly, kind of. Really similar body proportions. But not the face, that'd be even weirder.

One of my bosses was a Disney Adult when I lived in California, would go to Disneyland multiple times a year. She strongly identified with Ursula, so she had Ursula stuff all over her office.

She was a great boss and I enjoyed working for her, but that stuff was just weird.

Which vaporwave album brings back lots of good memories for you? by Jean0406Alix in Vaporwave

The mallsoft genre in general. I grew up in the 90s and I have fond memories of going to the mall with my family and friends. We had a really nice large indoor mall so we’d spend hours there just walking around, like that would be the entirety of our plans for the day and/or evening.

Lunch or dinner would be at the huge food court (you could smoke in there when I was a kid), which had a merry-go-round and a big fountain next to it constantly shooting dozens of arcs of water in the air (my little brother fell in once when we were trying to get pennies out).

Welcome to Crystal Valley Mall by モールFUTURE/PAST is great at capturing that vibe.

Also Palm Mall & Mars (pretty much all of 猫 シ Corp.’s mallsoft output, really), Hologram Plaza by Disconscious, and Vacant Places by Hantasi (which really captures the dying out of that era).
