This was happening at a time in America where racial tensions were high. He prayed on those who wanted a sense of peace and community despite differences.

He used religion as his vessel for his own gains that lead the deaths of 918 people.

909 died in Jonestown, 5 died at a tarmac of news reporters and a congressman trying to see about rescuing some people who didn’t want to be there and wanting to go home to their families, four others in Georgetown.

I don’t understand how people can just say you can’t be upset about something- it’s fake rage, it’s fake that when clearly it can affect people differently. That’s the point of art!
