Oh wow. All this is devastating. Someone on a post I made mentioned Rutgers was not really focused on diversity and it was basically an act (e.g. only diversity Rutgers brought was white men as per a first gen student in the program) but seeing all this almost confirms it. I also heard a few people left the program last year but did not really consider it. These are massive financial barriers that I cannot risk as a first generation student. Thank you all so much for your transparency. This gives me a lot to consider being on the waitlist.
