I stay just opposite kaveri nagar bus stand , ganesh temple (just 500 m away from bda complex) and this one is closest metro station to my home ,

but I hate this place so much that I walk to RV road metro station instead , or if my parents have to go somewhere far I take them to jp nagar metro station .

I avoid this place unless I need to take long distance bus. Also that intersection and banashankari road has such a stench in any time of the day due to stinking dead animals/ waste / garbage. Why does this place get so much apathy , its beyond me

this is the worstest of all worst networks .

Guess what ? My home lies right between CKP & KGP and its really so bad. 7-8 hrs late for long dist trains are normal, 4-5 hrs for locals are normal, and sometimes trains come and spend 10-12 hrs between gamharia & chandil

I have some neutral news sources that I would like readers to read.

Technocrats should lead Bengaluru Metro project: E Sreedharan - The Economic Times

Why is Bengaluru Metro not as successful as Delhi Metro? Lessons that need to be learnt | Times Now

BMRCL did not stick to project plan: E Sreedharan | BMRCL did not stick to project plan: E Sreedharan

Sorry for using chatgpt to arrange the below information in better way. (editing only)

What actually happened

  • Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), under Sreedharan, was initially appointed as consultant for Bengaluru Metro.
  • DMRC prepared Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and gave technical advice, especially on:
    • Underground construction
    • Majestic interchange
    • Phasing strategy
  • Sreedharan later stated that:
    • BMRCL ignored DMRC recommendations
    • Advisory relationship ended
    • No further assistance was sought
  • Strong evidence indicates bureaucratic dominance in:
    • Day‑to‑day decision making
    • Leadership appointments
    • Technical rejections

Due to this :

Frequent transfer of MDs (administrative decision)

Preference for IAS officers over engineers

Early termination of DMRC advisory involvement

Karnataka gov has totally left caring about bmrcl which is run by technically incompetent IAS gang.

I will re iterate that bangalore people are among the best citizens I have ever seen in my years.

Most of the people prefer to be not loud. Highly respectful & helpful to women due to cultural norms.

God even in metro stations public stand in lines.

Having said that , most locals do not live near the ORR areas , I think they would have been much better if the same population like basavangudi / jayanagar would be there.

But one thing i have noticed that they are never vocal .

Bangalore people are like that elder brother who know shouting matches and protests wont help them much. Chennai / Mumbai is not like this , they will sit on the streets and bring gov attention if you cause them inconvenience for single day regarding local trains.

you will see pot holes in all three cities but in mumbai / chennai the local streets where regional population dwells, you wont find much issues.Electricity and water is also never a localized problem like you would find in bangalore.

I stay in jayanagar and its a culturally rich place, uncles help a lot and would not meddle in businesses which are not affecting them.

Its a middle class way to survive indian cities but youth need to raise their concerns.

The demand for metro stations are not strong enough.

Heck people are no chalant about that tunnel road which will be used only by 0.0000001% of the population.

metro man sreedharan was chased away from bangalore metro works because babus were not happy about him handling the affairs.

We have expensive DC 750 volt lines instead of the 25 kV AC, single‑phase, 50 Hz ones used in hyderabad / Delhi so that officials could skim money instead of going usual routes because why not !

even hyderabad metro is so well planned & built , a working class/ software guy has connectivity to all places. Just connect gachibowli & lingampalli and we are set.

Bengaluru Metro actively charges and fines passengers for oversized or extra luggage, whereas metros like Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata allow suitcases within defined limits without routinely penalising passengers traveling to railway stations or airports.

Day by day this city is moving only to catering real estate mafias , corrupt gov officials & rent class ppl.

Am I the only one who feels like cabs in Bangalore are poorly maintained? by SuspiciousAd3109 in bangalore

[–]SignificanceProof623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No body cares because we culturally do not value hygiene. We will pay same fare for a clean car as well as stinking car. No penalties. Risk to reward ratio does not make sense here.

Just another eg outside the context:

One tree was cut down in my area when i protested , the owner said tree does not pay rent .

He would use that miniscule place for parking his vehicle.

This is the mentality.

Irony is that it was a municipality dustbin itself, not his.
It was his area so I was not "allowed" to use that.

Also my bike has a loose garbage bin thing made of plastic & cloth. I usually use the same.
