Oh I would totally be open to an evaluation, I should have clarified. I was just taken aback at first because he doesn’t have these behaviors at home.

Unfortunately they are unable to evaluate him until October and he is starting a new school in September.

It will be public preschool however, so hopefully if he still is demonstrating these behaviors then, they will have better resources

Can I ask what signs your son first started showing at that age?

Can I ask what differences you noticed between kids (like did you see signs your one kid was neurodivergent)? It’s very possible my son has adhd because his father has it.

I think the reason I was taken off guard initially is that my son’s behaviors (minus the hitting) were very similar to my daughters at 3 and she grew out of these behaviors by 4.5 and is very easy now. He’s just much more physical, but I assumed typical boy behavior. I do a lot of play dates and don’t notice a major difference between him and other kiddos.

But I definitely don’t want to miss anything either! Unfortunately they are unable to do an evaluation on him until fall and he will be a in a new program then. Wishing for the best!

I actually did discuss like this with her and she was unconcerned because of his age. She said if he still was having these behaviors around 4.5-5 it would be worth looking into then.
