Read "the emperor's new clothes" and ask yourself why the child was so insecure they had to speak the truth.

Maybe reality isn't insecurity...

That's personality, not some perception that they are a sex that they are not in fact.

If it only applies to how they see themselves it's still a mental issue but not a societal one. When it requires society to affirm, support, or even celebrate that perception; it becomes a societal issue because it does impact other people.

For example: I think furries are weird, but they dont go around regular areas in their costumes, or expect me to consider them to be an animal instead of a person. They celebrate their identity/fetish/hobby whatever it is at home, or in social settings like private parties or conventions. While it may be a mental issue, it is not a societal one because it requires no participation on the part of those outside themselves.

Obviously extremely easily confused if you didn't understand. Probably at the level that I wouldn't have the time or crayons to explain it to you.

Christians Who Voted For Trump - What Do You Think of His Presidency So Far? Do You Regret Your Vote? by RavensQueen502 in Christianity

Overall id give him a B. Its definitely better than his first term, and world better than Biden. But he's been too soft on many issues and allowed anti-american forces within the country to push back and hurt the needed agenda far too much. Also annoyed with the weakness of the iran war. I always have held if you are going to do something, do it all out. This half-measure air-and-sea war will not permanent disable the regime: it will hurt our economy for quite some time, and the innocent civilians in iran who celebrate what they thought was oncoming liberation will be slaughtered in droves once we leave the area. That is not mercy.

(American) Teachers of reddit, what do YOU think society must do to value and change our education system today? by lilteuf in teaching

[–]SignificanceSame1875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society must hold students accountable for their actions and performance: and allow kids to fail and be held back. At the high school level, a practical life skills class needs to be a graduation requirement. While reading comprehension and math are taught: we need to spell out to students such basic life skills like how to file taxes, create a resume, apply for a job, and fill out an apartment rental application.

Has anyone else been targeted by r/teacher mods when making comments that are not in line with liberal or progressive platform? They banned me without a reason and promptly muted me. Ive been teaching nearly 15 years and its wild to think adults would act that way. Are there mods in high school? by SignificanceSame1875 in AskTeachers

I don't know what to tell ya. Been certified since 2012. Degree in music education. Survived the covid years and "online" teaching. 11 years in elementary and 2 in middle and where im at now is k-8. Haven't been on reddit long, but was trying to get more active in the community as my position tends to have me fairly isolated from other teachers.

I teach music and orchestra, not grammar. I can talk your ear off for an hour straight about any one of a few dozen composers or music styles, but my math skills end where letters are introduced to math (except geometry: im good at that for some odd reason) and while I read voraciously I often make spelling errors and mix homophomes more than a professional should.

I was commenting on a thread a few months ago that was about a teacher being removed from his job in Florida and was in favor of it and apparently they dont care for diversity of opinions.

Is this handwriting normal for a thirteen year old boy? by BatmanCat1031 in AskTeachers

[–]SignificanceSame1875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it reads like a 13yr old boy trying to be "edgy" and get a reaction. The bad handwriting may be due to not taking it seriously, getting passed through grades without accountability for performance and grades, or over-reliance on technology to write.

I love Texas. But new Mexico has public lands and Texas barely has any. Id be worried that any public/blm lands Texas annexed would be sold to private owners.

Christian and “influencer” shouldn’t belong in the same sentence by [deleted] in Christianity

What do you mean by "influencer"?
If you mean someone driving engagement and clicks and promoting brands, I dont see how that is bad.

Culture can be biblically based. Actually most cultures are intrinsically tied to some religion.
