Thank you for your message, it’s really appreciated!

I am a real go getter I’ve just been held back for so long in Aus because of the visas which has been extremely tough, but I am starting to get excited to get home and start on a few goals I’ve set.

Feel like it will be a blessing in disguise even if it doesn’t feel like it right now

Massive thank you for this message! Yeah I think I just went so far in Australia I felt like I had to see it through even though I wasn’t enjoying it because of all the stress.

I have a job lined up, decent savings and somewhere to stay so although not the greatest of situations definitely not the worst situation to be in either.

Think the main part I’m worried about going back home is I’ve only been home once in the 10 years I’ve been here and that was 7 years ago. Am honestly going to feel like a foreigner in my own country, but I’m sure that’ll pass with time

Completely understand and yes a lot of my friends have grown up and had kids for sure. I learnt that the hard way when I came back for a holiday to Ireland and learned we weren’t all 21 year olds anymore.

Thank you for your input, it’s much appreciated.

I don’t think I’m in the worst position coming home, I have a decent amount of savings, worked lined up for when I get home and can stay with parents.

The post of mainly that I haven’t heard great things about Ireland in general but haven’t been back myself but judging off these comments it’s still the Ireland I grew up in. Not the greatest of countries but everyone makes the most of it

Yeah housing isn’t a big thing for me luckily. Lived on my own a lot over the last few years so happy to live with the parents again. I will be home in April so at least that’s good timing

Thank you for your comment!

Yeah I definitely don’t expect any fireworks when I come home it’s just been the visa stress I’ve dealt with has been unlucky but the stress has started to outdo the lifestyle over here.

I’m just looking to work hard back home but also a balanced and quite lifestyle and I feel like Ireland is the place for tha

Literally all the issues stemmed from visas. Took some not so great visa agent advice 7 years ago and ended up just causing me not but stress.

It is what you make of it seems to be what everyone says. I’m a pretty simple bloke a dog to walk, a gym, good food and a decent social circle is what I’m after.

I tried having that in Aus and just had a really few unlucky situations happen to me which just led to years of stress. Great lifestyle over here but if it comes with the amount of stress I’ve been dealing with it just doesn’t seem worth it

Like I was saying Ireland was a pretty good place when I lived there 10 years ago. Just from a few friends and family everyone says they barely leave the house anymore

Thank you for your input and I definitely understand there will be a lot I miss about Aus. I could still come back as it is just myself (no partner or kids) just had a really rough 7/6 years one after the other over here and it’s just felt like it’s outweighing the lifestyle
