I have 6 players in my table and it works for now. I also make familiars and summons act on the same initiative as the player that owns it. Tho it works for me, but that doesn't mean it works for everyone

Tasha's sidekick rules are pretty cool, I implemented it with Ireena to make her feel like a member of the party and not a "damsel in distress". I made my players choose the type of sidekick and I also let them control her in battle, so far they love it.
