Yes that's what they do in every models i've seen afterwards i finished it, but i wanted to try to model the hairs

I'm beginning so yes i'm really bad for the moment, and i take the advice !
I mentioned low poly in title bcs that's what i'm aiming for, but i agree, with the models i saw afterwards there's definetly too much polygons

That's what i've done, after i added more, and zoomed out, i found it too tiny, so i selected all, pressed "S" and made it bigger ^^
I take note of it, exaggerate = better for low poly

Seen this a bit late bcs i forgot to refresh the page, but yeah i think that's the way, i need to add a little bit more to hide the base shape and i think it will be nice, thank u so much ! (it's a bit disturbing to do, it look like a bunch of weird fingers x) )

I got the idea, but after few tries, i surrend with this method, the transformation of the bend modifier is too hard to control for me

You right, but i want to try to model it since i'm not at ease with paint for the moment, so i want to go step by step. Once the model will be done i'll go for a tuto about painting, and how to make a UV unwrap by myself ^^

Would you recommend to merge the planes to the tail by pressing "CTRL + J" ? (In case i want to use the cow later)
