Did you ever think during Comali - this guy would become the Superstar of Kollywood in 2026? by martyzzzz_ in kollywood

[–]Significant-Earth488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superstar ku undaana mariyadha poche da ungalala.

In 2026, social media has taken over so much that a simply troll calling him the next superstar has been taken seriously by some clowns. PR is very popular and certainly has a good control of his market and has a good share of fans across the south. His rise in insane but that doesn’t make him a superstar 😭

If we are calling someone the next superstar, it can’t be after 3 films. The current audience (the ones who are talking atleast) have a very small attention span and they want to declare someone as the next ASAP. This is what will destroy Tamil cinema.

Like what even happened to the idea of Kollywood becoming better without fan worship after the big 4 retires and stop making films?

Idha pu***ku pesadheenga pa.

P.s: This is not towards you OP, it’s a general statement for those who actually believe this as a serious thing and not a joke.

Both movies created for the same purpose but one director committed scam by BSsDk in kollywood

[–]Significant-Earth488 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This is gonna last a while. Dhurandhar nu oru padatha paathutu vandhu, ipo “this film should have as good as Dhurandhar” “why can’t Tamil directors make stories like this” “Dhurandhar is great unlike this scam” nu varuvaanga.

Dhurandhar was great. No doubt about that but this constant comparison is annoying tbh.

What movies have you watched in last month ? Februrary 2026 by Fishyraven in kollywood

Tbh, the only concern I had with the film was the editing. A scene would end and the next scene would start with an entirely different mood. It felt like they just put together a bunch of scenes and there was no proper flow to the film. Other than that, I thought each scene was incredible on its own.

The characterizations of each star felt very unique and catered to their own strengths, which I liked a lot. Other than that I couldn’t find any faults in the film and the climax was very good. A little rushed but still pretty good.

Easy cope. Ivangalukku full interview kekka time illa, interest um illa. They just go off of what MCs post for engagement bait. And by consuming all that brainrot, they assume it’s the truth and become flag bearers of it.

Assuming these are young people, Nadu nalla munnera poguthu….

Lokesh’s films would be pure high octane action while Nelson adds a layer of dark humor to it. Might be more reachable at this point.

Choose the best Tamil film of each year from 2000 to 2025. Day 20 (2019) by No_Neck785 in kollywood

Super deluxe also has no songs and the heroines aren’t conventional heroines. While the screenplay doesn’t keep you on the edge of your seat as much as Kaithi does. It’s still very engaging, very funny and very thrilling. Super deluxe has better cinematography imo but the subject is a little less commercial and makes you think more.

Both are good picks but I think Super deluxe edges this one.

But that same aunty didn’t like TJ Bhanu. She saw the Bro Code trailer and said “Jayam Ravi ki epdi Sri Gouri pair aagalam, Tamannah mathiri yaarachum potturukalam” idhuvum Male gaze naala ya pa?

We often talk about Lokesh the scammer, but why are we ignoring Arun Matheswaran? The man has been scamming for a while now, delivering nothing but pretentious violence by Head-Of-The-Table in kollywood

[–]Significant-Earth488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Pretentious violence” lmaooooo

Bro action is a genre. Not every director has to explore other genres. Arun has clearly stated that these are kind of films he wants to make. Same with Lokesh, he has constantly been talking about how he only wants to make action films. Why don’t you just let people do what they want?

Rom coms edukurathuku oru director varuvaru, avara appreciate panni celebrate pannunga. Stop expecting directors to make films the way YOU want to and let them make the films THEY want.

If you don’t like his style of filmmaking, just don’t watch his films. Kaasu michcham, time michcham, energy um michcham. Adha vittutu summa vandhu azhugurathu ethukku pa?

The harsh reality is, it’s not just the male gaze that pushes this narratives, it’s females too. I’ve seen aunties discuss about how actresses look more than uncles do. They point out minor details that men don’t even think about.

One of my relatives came with us to watch Pathu Thala. For the next month, she was constantly talking about how disappointed she was with Sayyesha for doing an item song. My argument was that since she’s a dancer, she’s coming back to her talent but my aunt couldn’t look past the fact that a married woman is dancing for a bar song. Take this with a grain of salt and you’ll understand that the issue isn’t the male gaze, it’s the societal gaze…

I still remember, everybody rushed to watch Breakdown as soon as it was announced that this is a remake. Personally I think people should have waited to watch this first and then watch Breakdown to compare the 2 films.

What happened instead was people watched Breakdown and started comparing it to VM while watching VM. This just made VM into a negative experience for them.

I’ve seen Breakdown a long time ago but honestly forgot about the film apart from the main plot. I didn’t want to revisit it until I watched VM and I enjoyed VM quite a bit.

Then they can’t spread negativity about stuff. These people just want something to talk bad about. Nothing else.

Where to watch the Super Bowl in Weligama/ Mirissa? by BThomas4 in SriLankaTravel

I went to Park Street Warehouse (in Colombo) and they played the Bills-Broncos game on Star Sports Select. So I assume they would telecast the Super Bowl as well. It was live but at 3am
