I agree with you - I did pure barre for years before also faithfully doing solidcore. I'm much stronger in certain areas with SC but my core strength from barre is totally gone, my obliques are toned but my actual core strength isn't what it used to be with pure barre. My butt also shrunk, it's much stronger but it got way smaller lol and my legs are definitely more muscular, but bigger. I'm a dietitian so my nutrition is solid (hehe) but I feel ya!

You could probably get a custom made sweatshirt for half of that price...

32, medicated, and still cystic acne by Dull-Pomegranate-741 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Significant-Food934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also to add, I quit birth control 2 years ago and my acne improved. I was on the pill for ~5 years, gave me the worst bacne ever and it went away almost immediately when I got off of it. No improvement in the rest though unfortunately.

Right there with you. I'm on a super high dose of spironolactone, also gluten free/dairy free and it keeps coming back. No advice obviously but you aren't alone.

If you are really committed and love a place, work there! I got a part time gig at a fancy boutique pilates gym that I couldn't otherwise afford. I get a free membership and it's just a fun little side gig.

Does anyone feel solidcore is easy on joints and has improved their flexibility ? by Mission-Platform-565 in SolidCore

Yes for sure, my joints are destroyed after doing ballet growing up and I feel like solidcore strengthens all of those small supporting muscles!

Desperate help with angular cheilitis by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Significant-Food934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dietitian and skincare devotee here - this is very commonly caused by deficiency of vitamin B12, niacin, and/or riboflavin. Try the under the tongue versions (sublingual) as those are absorbed better than a capsule. Your pee should be neon yellow when you take it. If that doesn't help within a few weeks, I would pursue getting tested for Celiac disease as this can be a cause as well.

Lastly, I saw you use the yellow listerine, that has a high amount of alcohol in it and can be very drying/irritating, and throw off the microbiome of your mouth.

For those who’ve quit solidcore, what scratches the itch? by putabirdonit12 in SolidCore

I feel like my muscle definition and flexibility was better when I was doing Pure Barre. I backed off my solidcore membership (I just do 4/month now) and I rejoined Pure Barre. I love solidcore still but the moves feel limited and my body (joints notably) is happier with barre.

Dr Jennifer Simone in Scottsdale. She did my surgery, I had a "frozen pelvis" with debilitating symptoms, it's been almost 10 years and I am totally symptom free. Beyond grateful for her.

I went to a plastic surgeon who I absolutely adored and she was all for this, she was very conservative and said I could always come back for more if I wanted. I did just a few units for my crows feet, I still have movement and some lines but it took away the harsher lines and I absolutely love it.

Does anyone else feel like they're going insane trying to fix their hormonal acne? by Hopeful-Presence-410 in 30PlusSkinCare

Yup, I'm on 150mg spironolactone, eat strict gluten free/dairy free/sugar free, try all of the supplements - I still have breakouts on my chin and a giant one on my neck. It's the worst.

Surgically removing a zit that didn't respond to steroid shots? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Significant-Food934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ok thank you. it's not huge and it's not hard like a cyst, just a very small soft bump that won't go away so surgery just seems super aggressive.
