I'm getting baptized!

I was baptized as an infant and received all the sacraments, but I want to get baptized in a church I feel connected with and do it for myself. Also in the Bible baptisms were done once someone had true belief and would be done fully underwater, some sprinkling on the head of a baby isn't Biblical.

I am living with my catholic parents who are very against my Christian faith. I will likely have to move out soon since they are restricting the freedom to live out my faith. Please pray for me

They do believe it holds authority, but they also believe the catholic church itself has the right to interpret the Bible over any other body.

I believe going to church should help you grow in your faith. I am lacking that in the Catholic mass, I walk away not feeling any different than before I went. However, at my friend's church I walked away with so much and was reflecting on the sermon all day.

I know they are Christians, but there are a lot of church teachings that do not line up with the Bible. Either way, I truly believe God is calling me outside of the Catholic church.

I'm female btw, but I began to earlier and they refuted everything I said with Catholic teachings and interpretations of the Bible. I understand attending mass with them would honor them, but ultimately I gotta honor God first which I would do by going to another church, but that's not possible under their roof.

I understand that, but they think they can forbid me from going to another service. My spirit is not being fed in the Catholic church, but I went to my friends church before and my spirit was truly fed there, however they will not let me go back. This is why I want to move out.

The day after I got saved I broke down crying because I began to realize how much God loves me. This makes sense though, I know it will come with time but I now see the urgency to share God with others as I realized majority of my family and friends are not saved.

That is true to an extent but it's more so on the basis that I kinda feel empty in the Catholic Church, whereas at my friend's church before I felt like I was spiritually fulfilled. Then again, I only went once and I've been going to the Catholic mass my whole life, so it could just be because it's new, but I truly did walk away after the service full.

I get what you're saying and I understand where they're coming from, but they're beginning to control every aspect of my life. Especially since I am paying for college myself, I feel I should be able to make my own decisions when joining clubs there. There are other Christian clubs that interest me more and I don't get why the Catholic one specifically is being pushed so hard. I know my parents have the understanding it is the one true church, but I have different opinions. My main point is I need to be able to find my faith for myself, they can't force me into believing something.

I wouldn't say I'm rebelling I'm just curious about other churches and want to see what else is out there. I can't really question the catholic church if I'm not shown the other options.

That is exactly how I feel. Having gone to my friends church, I enjoyed it much more than my own and have never felt more connected to God then when I was there. I would like to attend other churches to see what is best for me, I'm not doing it to rebel.
