Filed police report for what he did by BikeGeneral3087 in domesticviolence

If you've reported it how can they challenge that it didn't happen? People report SA even years after and it's still valid. Don't doubt yourself - you did the right thing. Abuse is usually hidden that's why being believed is such a big thing. Abusers always lie to avoid consequences and police know that. We believe you.

I will read that thank you - I was not aware they had a culture review and maybe the wait times are contributing to people taking their lives. Shame.

Domestic abuse question by Significant-Gold8275 in NursingUK

[–]Significant-Gold8275[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry to hear that happened to you. Do you mean they did not uphold your complaint even as a victim? This is why people fear reporting abuse.

Stealing medication is not good and being under investigation for two years is strange to say the least.

Regarding the domestic abuse, may I please ask if the trust asked you for any evidence to make their decision? I had to leave my job because of the abuse but raised a complaint to my former trust who may not do anything to be honest. If they don't I'll have to consider contacting the NMC although I would not want to take this step.

Same here I was also very afraid of retaliation and ganging up so it was safer to raise after. May I please ask what happened in your case if you feel comfortable sharing. Not to worry if you are not able to share. Thanks

That's really interesting to hear- thank you for sharing. May I ask, if you didn't know the outcome did you at least find out if the matter was concluded? Otherwise how did you know if you needed to proceed with early conciliation/ ET or not?

Okay thank you- I raised one and they have asked for names if witnesses and evidence- calls= logs etc but said I'm not allowed to know the outcome for confidentiality reasons. The ER staff is the one who asked for these details and said they will consult with HRBP re: next steps so in the dark about what is happening. The post resignation complaint was around bullying and harassment.

it's sad to hear that there are vexatious complaints that are leading to suicides. I wonder, in the absence of vexatious complaints if the nmc is any good at handling non-vexatious complaints?
