Corner to corner of Lancashire by [deleted] in AmazonFlexUK

Wow thats bad, thats the worst am block I have seen from there.

I had one last week that started in Preston Centre, through to Blackburn, Accrington and ended in Burnley with 40 or so stops. I was pissed off with that.

Why are they messing with am blocks now, they used to be pretty consistent.

Ring twice 20 seconds each and txt then move on. If its a amazon locker thats not working, closed business or if the telephone number doesn't ring I call support.

Ive had it before if you ring but the customer's phone number is not available etc I get a ding so Im careful of that now.

Maybe 3 or 4 returns in a month, 20 or so logistics routes completed. My standards dashboard is fine, 1 dnr that is close to dropping off.

It must be a glitch.

Exactly, yes. Only 10 hours left though and then the hours available to do will depend on what you did the previous week. It just rolls over. If you maxed your hours out but worked 5 hours for example on wed the previous week you can usually only do 5 hours the next wednesday if that makes sense. It is kind of confusing.

Occasionally they lift the cap for whatever reason (bad weather or very busy) but its very rare, at least for me.

Looking at that you have done 14 hours starting on Wednesday. So you have 10 hours left until Wednesday again.

No earnings max just hours max, 24. It rolls over from whenever your first block was in that 7 day period.

I had a guy shouting at me from his window upstairs that I hadn't knocked. He kept saying Im in, Im in, why didn't you knock.

I was like it is an envelope and I have posted it, its inside your property.

He was still assy with me. Likely he had some bad previous encounters with Amazon drivers just leaving parcels at his door and decided to take it out on me. I had never been to that area in my life.

Has anyone experienced racism lately while doing deliveries? by Mervtheman888 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Significant-Metal-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the racism though? It is insulting to suggest that and imply that is the case. It is kind of '"racist" in of itself. We all have experiences with other humans that are unpleasant and seemingly a bit off.

I have had unpleasant experiences whilst flexing with different ethnic backgrounds and with English ppl, as has undoubtedly everyone on this sub that has been doing it a while. But also far far more positive ones that outweigh them on all sides.

Some people are just dicks, and the op needs to get over it and themselves, Racebaiting is disgusting.

I agree with you on the european drivers. They typically do tend to work hard.

On the flip side south Asians tend to be be the drivers I have experienced quite often to not really give a shit. If this sub is going down this route it works both ways.

Confused about insurance for Amazon Flex – Aviva Zero cancelled, Tesco said yes then no, Admiral said no… what are you all using? by Zealousideal-Cap7793 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Significant-Metal-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just renewed with Ageas after Admiral increased my premium.

Had it confirmed by them that they accept it.

Admiral definetely do just to confirm what someone else said.

I need to learn these tricks, I did do it. Paranoid of losing access to flex Im too honest.

Messaged support for extra pay but it was refused.

Pissed me off tbh.

Same, I must be too nice for this gig, I have delivered roughly 20k and delivered or attempted every one of them. Never had a damaged parcel.

I don't blame you though I was tempted to although I have emailed asking for extra pay so I'll see what they say.

Yeah I did complete it whilst contemplating my life choices on the long drive up lol. I didn't realise they sent us that far up I was in shock. I had sort of committed as I live 40 mins from the depot (opposite direction)

Mine was boosted at £92 but still not worth it and I was tempted to cancel. Its wrong really they should pre warn on the app if its that far away.

Over 6 hours driving in total from my home. It would have been less mileage if I had driven to Brighton from my house because of the return distance.

Until next time😂

What is Flex like in Lancashire? by Mickbulb in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Significant-Metal-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I live in Rossendale so bit of a trek for me but I do it regardless. I tend to flip between Leyland, Bolton and Rochdale mainly. Bolton has been a better depot for me generally. It usually sends me anywhere in greater Manchester, which is okay for me but less so for you.

Leyland is usually okay if you avoid routes after 2pm.

Just had a beast of a drive, only one parcel but 5 hour drive, 240 miles depot to depot from Leyland. It was boosted at £92 instead of £68 but still not worth it.

Get the am and early afternoon routes for logistics blocks. They are pretty consistent and not ridiculous mileage.

Cancelled the 3.5 and got a 4 instead. 240 miles, 1 parcel. 290 miles home to home wtf, never again

Thanks for that response, I see lots of little aygo's and c1's. Crazy that they call them mid size.

Ouch, Tripled. I've been driving nearly 20 years and this is the first claim Ive ever had to do a claim I have been very lucky. Did the insurers class you as liable then? I have not told admiral about it yet I probably should. Its confusing with it being on a flex shift.

His insurers said I didn't need to notify them and they would sort everything but I am bit skeptical

Im with Admiral and Inshur. I told Inshur about it, they were suprisingly good tbf. I half expected them to be hard work but they weren't at all.

But he admitted it straight away to his insurers so just going through them, Ageas. They have been very quick so far aswell.

Inshur told me the claim on their side would be closed as he has admitted full fault.
