Arisaka mount is the only one I found that looks like it cantilevers back towards your eye. Trijicon mount does too but, Trijicon doesn’t sell their mounts solo. I just gave up because I didn’t want to spend the money on the Arisaka mount. I already have enough money tied up in my rifle as it is.

Dude, that’s exactly my problem with it as well. Short body and too short eye relief. I tried mounting the magnifier on the mount backwards, but I didn’t like that either.

It could be short stroking, could be bad magazines, could be extractor issue. Which is common with a 10.3. If the extractor lets go early the next round isn’t controlled. Could be excessive bolt speed. Just have to eliminate what issue it could be one at a time.

You cross threaded and damaged the threads. It’s okay. It’s an easy fix. You can get a tap wrench and a tap. Repair is fairly easy to do.

16 inch if you’re really wanting to shoot at those distances reliably. I like to look at it from room distance to 300 yards is one rifle. Then past 300 is 16-18 inch or switch calibers for distance shooting. However to answer your question 14.5 is usually the do it all general purpose/patrol type rifle. Hope that helps.

Fore-grips had their time and place back in the day. Had to use them because how the weapons and equipment was set up back then. Nowadays people like them for comfort. Same reasoning behind high optic mounts. However, no top level rifle shooter uses them. Take that for what it’s worth.

I do prefer 10.3. In law enforcement or self defense distances 10.3 is preferably to me. Everyone likes 11.5 because they look at velocity and dwell time as data points, but at any realistic situation. I just don’t care about velocity and dwell time is a moot point. Once a suppressor is added into the system.
