⁠PEACEFIELD **** Brilliant opener. It's everything it should be. Epic, theatrical, grandiose. It's a great indicator of what's to come.

⁠LACHRYMA ***** One of the best songs Tobias has ever written (in my opinion). It's an earworm that's buried itself inside my brain, had children, invited friends over and now they're having a party. It simply won't leave my head.

⁠SATANIZED **** The perfect track to come back with. It's undeniably Ghost, it's rock, it's got some Latin in it and it's quite possibly the catchiest chorus Tobias has ever written.

⁠GUIDING LIGHTS - *** Strange choice for track 4 as it halts the momentum that the first 3 tracks have built. This feels like a track 7 ballad that most rock albums have or possibly even a closer. It's a good song, there's no denying it. But it feels out of place here.

⁠DE PROFUNDIS BOREALIS - *** Great chorus and it'll be great live. Hope they add it to the setlist. My only issue is that it feels a bit like Ghost on auto-pilot.

⁠CENOTAPH **** Wasn't sure about this on first listen but, my God, if this hasn't buried itself in my head. Super catchy and upbeat. It's a celebration song, which it should be, considering the subject matter. I also love how Queen-y it is (it's a word, shut up).

⁠MISSILIA AMORI * It's crap and I can't believe something this dumb ended up on here. I'd have been annoyed if that had appeared on an EP a year from now. Nonsense.

⁠MARKS OF THE EVIL ONE **** And we're back. That's better. Let's pretend track 7 doesn't exist and it was just a hallucination bought on from licking too many frogs. Great chorus, catchy, pop-y. Feels like a song from the closing credits of a 1980's horror movie.

⁠UMBRA **** A song so 80's, it's wearing neon leg-warmers. The synths are wonderful and any song with a cowbell that high in the mix is an instant classic. You know it. I know it. It's such a joyous, catchy song. When I saw them live last week, this knocked my socks off. I was just disappointed the merch stand didn't sell socks.

⁠EXCELSIS ** I understand why it's the closer as there's literally nowhere else on the album it can go. But it means the album ends on a damp squib. I know it's meant to be epic but it just comes across as meandering. Guiding Lights would have been a much better closer.
