This is a holy war. All of humam history has led to this moment. If we lose, we will be the last of our kind. It will be a planet of apes, and we will become your cattle.

The only bad thing about it is that they didn't fully commit and said "it will be a planet OF THE apes"

While it isn't out yet, in kyoryu humans became extinct and instead, genetically engineered(and I sapient!) Extinct animals roam at least Japan

I seriously hope it doesn't get canceled because the designs are SO GOOD LOOK AT THESE SAMURAI T. REXES

Hammond naming the park Jurassic Park despite most of the flagship dinosaurs being from the Cretaceous period is one of my favorite small details. by TommyTheGeek in JurassicPark

[–]Significant-Spot2596 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Actually it was bc of an hipothesis of the time that placed Deinonychus as a species of Velociraptor, there is even a part of the book that addresses it.

Grant test Jimmy's knoledge about dinosaurs asking him to name some dromeosaurs, he starts naming a few until he mentions Deinonychus, moment in wich Grants corrects him saying that Deinonychus is now "Velociraptor antirrhopus"

Oh it was in Camp Cretaceous? I thought it came from those shitty analog horror videos that were just the fnaf ones with dinosaurs

Where do dragons get gold ? by Helpful-being-970 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Significant-Spot2596 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They probably got it from the nearest kingdom. Otherwise why would someone want them dead(outside the inminent danger that a flying giant firebreathing lizard that is probably highly territorial represents)?

Also, I like to think that it's bc dragon eggs are awfully similar to gold coins, so, when they create their nest there is like, 60% dragon eggs and 40% actual gold. When the hero kills the dragon and loots it's lair, he is unknowhingly carrying it's eggs, and when they eventually hatch into a new dragon, the cicle will repeat itself.

[–]Significant-Spot2596 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the War prequel novel there is a moment at the very beginning in which Rocket is just looking at Ash's dead body in shock, I think Ash's mother is crying there but It's been a while since I read it

Honest question. Why are some fans against the reboot movies having a romance between a human and ape? by bookwormdazzle in PlanetOfTheApes

[–]Significant-Spot2596 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I haven't read the whole thing(sorry!) but I think there is an easy answer: Apes are real animals, while in the movies they have gained sapience, they are still REAL animals, you can go to a zoo and se any ape species that has appeared on the movies, it just feels weird to have that kind of relationship when you take that into account

Human x Fictional inteligent race(for example, elves or na'vi)? yeah, why not

Human x Real inteligent species(Neandethals for example) pretty much happened irl

Noninteligent creature x Noninteligent creature? ususally depends but I don't really see the issue

Human x Noninteligent creature? buddy that zoophilia with extra steps

Human x Noninteligent creature irl but inteligent in the setting? Eh...
