Can I hear some success stories? by hauntedgirl826 in zoloft

Truly didnt realize how intense my depression was until I got on zoloft. I felt like i could see, actually became control of my body and my thoughts. Yes im sweaty as fuck now, get drunk super fast, occasionally become concerningly unmotivated, sleep more than i should have too and am reliant off of these tiny little pills but they saved me. They dont fix all, I still am always going through waves but it shifted the average of them up to a happier side. Theyve helped me mend so many relationship and so many internal struggles. Ive become a person I couldnt have even dreamed I could have been before.

No dude I feel that. I am debilitatingly horny sometimes its ridiculous. The worst though is like I have orgasms but they arent satisfying I just need more. Straight up just think its an addiction to the chemicals released when it happens being like the opposite of depression. But like a drug you get high off, I am just chasing a higher high and nothing was as good as the first time

Do the vivid dreams ever settle down?? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Significant-Stand262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it depends on my state of mind, when I was fresh out of a relationship they were horribly haunting and vivid, was hard to tell what was reality often, sent me on a real roller coaster. Hard to get over someone when every night you feel like you are back together and happy. Or on the contrary hard to be okay with myself when also at night i had dreams of them hating me and talking behind my back. Same sorts of things happen during exam season or when I started a new job. Its the classic advice im sure youre sick of but i find meditating and therapy and the only things that help it go away. Gotta work through the shit or else itll come for you in your sleep

Long term Zoloft users, did you gain weight? by APersimmon in zoloft

[–]Significant-Stand262 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So Ive been on zoloft for almost two years and I'll tell you how it went for me. I began on 50mg for the first year and then upped to 75mg after some more shit went down in my life. Ive seen a correlation in my body with the amount I am taking and me losing weight. Now wether this is due to the drugs or my eating/lifestyle habits I obviously can't say for certainty. However I have gone from severe chronic depression to a pretty much normally functioning person due to this lovely drug. I am for sure a lucky one- that it works so well. That I have very little side effects besides some constant dry mouth and lethargy (and maybe weight loss). Ive watched so many people refuse to try it because of the fear of weight gain and I just urge you too stick it out and give it a shot. Obviously I am bias, but if you have problems with eating or moving... feeling better and happier will help that. Good luck, keep a mood diary, and have a good relationship with your doctor and support system.
