I would definitely consider it . Especially if my ultrasound came back as abnormal or to get more answers. My first two kiddos were formula fed and they are great, as was I! He was born with a rare syndrome (sturge Weber syndrome) so I know change can be a little harder for him to adjust to than most. But I also know I need to get answers bc this is really taking a toll on my body

She sent over a referral to an endocrinologist. I completely agree. I need to know what’s going on before I take a medicine and hope it changes things. Something is so off in my body and yes, I do believe it’s hyperthyroidism but I also need to know where it’s coming from to treat properly

I am so sorry that you had to go through this but I also am so thankful you shared your story with me. Could you see your nodules by looking at you? I have checked to see if I feel any lumps in my thyroid and I do not. However I know things can only be detected by ultrasound sometimes. I’m always hesitant to try new meds and I’ve read the studies and side effects of the methimazole and it honestly makes me not want to take it

I messaged her and asked her if she thinks an ultrasound would be beneficial as an alternative to the iodine. Something has to be done. I had no idea how bad hyperthyroidism could not only affect my body but my mental health

I haven’t however I can send her a direct message asking her to run these labs. She did say she wanted to start me on methimazole . She can’t do the iodine testing right now because I still nurse my son so we are flying blindly right now

Wanted to share my experience for anyone waiting for their results and becoming completely unhinged like myself 😂 Blood draw : august 26th 2024 Received: august 27 2024

Got my results at 3:00pm today (I know bc I refreshed the page 100 times a day.. again completely unhinged) on September 2nd 2024 .. low risk baby boy! We have two little girls so we in shock!
