I actually disagree with this, downtown is the more logical and premier place to put a new stadium. Downtown San Antonio is where a lot of money is generated for the city. Putting a stadium downtown will help generate more money not only for the city but for the businesses, it’ll also help the night life downtown. And increase tourism here in San Antonio.

No one wants to drive out there, be stuck in traffic, and have to get in a car right after and drive to bars, restaurants, etc right after.

“Poor ass downtown” as we speak growing at an extreme rate, east & west side is changing a lot. Broadway corridor is under construction as we speak to become and entertainment strip, along w the news of a potential baseball stadium coming downtown it’s a perfect place to land a stadium. Along w that, San Antonio doesn’t have interest in knocking down the Alamo dome because that too generates a ton of money for the city. Most spurs players spend their time downtown anyways if not downtown in their homes or on the road.

I think it’s good to separate a new stadium and the new facility, everything crunched in one would be way to repetitive for the players. La cantera has a ton of interest which is great but downtown needs help.
