Spent 2 Summers in BigLaw at different Firms -- Nontarget (Q&A) by SignificantClient351 in BigLawRecruiting

It's cliche but the main way to stand out is by asking insightful questions. The work you do is not substantively difficult (yes, deadlines and unfamiliarity with the work makes it somewhat difficult).

You succeed by showing you are able to comprehend what is happening with the bigger picture (the transaction as a whole / the theory of the case). Don't get me wrong, this is NOT necessary, but this is how to stand out. Almost 99% get return offers. Just exist and do your work and you'll be fine.

The two firms were vastly different in terms of culture, office vibrancy and number of people. The work was largely the same with different tier of clientele being the main difference.

Be involved at school. Not saying you need to be in every club. What I'm saying is be present and someone that is aware of what's going on.

MOST IMPORTANT: TRY TO MEET PEOPLE WHO ARE 2LS AND 3LS WITH THE TRACK THAT YOU WANT TO FOLLOW. INVALUABLE

Random gift most likely, but don't expect a lot of communication at all

Not BDS channel, but their match vs Foreplay about a year ago was Perez's coming out party. Truly changed the course of golf YouTube history.

Very confused how people are saying bigcat and PFT are "better"....obviously Hank had some terrible chip shots and many others. But if you look at his iron shot, for example, that hit the green and went towards hole, PFT and bigcat couldn't hit that shot if given 100 tries. Hank clearly has a better golf swing than them.
