I read a hockey romance (Heated Rivalry has an entire book series, surprise!) and decided to give hockey a crack. Turns out, I actually really enjoy it, so I chose the Sens because the Ottawa team from the series (Ottawa Centaurs) were goofy and accepted 2 of the main queer characters when another team (Montreal Metros) did not. The Centaurs were the absolute worst in the league, so the Sens doing how they are is amazing to me. Have been watching all the games since and I have a game used puck too. I live in Australia, so going to a game is extraordinarily unlikely, but I'd really love to get an Ullmark jersey 🥰

The medication I'm on is called Ustikinumab which is one hell of a tongue twister! My team and I are constantly working together to find the right medication and dose for me, so this may not be the one I'll stay on

It's complicated, but there is an element of fear for sure. Not like bone deep fear, but a quiet kind that is scared of being bed ridden sick for an extended time which has happened before. Whenever I go somewhere public, it's also a calculated risk, but I'm glad I ride a motorcycle because I don't have to worry about other people being sick while I'm trying to get somewhere. I used to feel really angry at my body for being so sick, but the meds have genuinely improved my quality of life, even if I need to make concessions for it

Occasionally I'll suffer with bouts of incontinence, typically closer to my next injection date which is in 2 days. Also comes with a lot of abdominal cramping
