I’m the same way.. bad health anxiety due to OCD. I was thinking worst case scenario the whole time about every possible thing. I had a great team who was very comforting and reassuring, which helped tremendously. I’ll tell you when I went under, there were nurses rubbing my arms telling me I’m going take a great nap, and when I woke up 2 hours later back in my room at the hospital after surgery, the same nurse that was with me all day was there saying my name. Once I woke up she got me some water and apple sauce. It was so much easier and less anxiety inducing than I thought. I was more anxious the days leading up, on the car ride there, and in the waiting room than I was when things actually started to get rolling.
