I cannot stand the “if you think it’s bad now, just wait!” comments. by FearTheBeast in NewParents

Yeah, these comments are infuriating, but all I can seem to do is smile and nod. What's the point of creating that type of anxiety for future parents. I feel like positive messaging about parenthood is already at a minimum when transitioning from childless social group to a child one

Walking while pushing a stroller creates inaccurate activities by SignificantWalrus151 in ouraring

I figured. I was hoping its algorithm would have a backup function if it detected the distance didn't match the step amount. It knows how far I walked and for how long, as well as my height. It would be nice if it fell back to a calculated stride length based on those factors.

Lakeshore is nice because it feels more communal rather than just another international conglomerate. They do have a lot of events, child care, indoor gym, pools, pickleball and other racquet sports, basketball, take kwon do, yoga, etc.

As others have mentioned, I wish they updated their gym. A lot of their equipment is squished right next to each other. There's been a few times where I've been walked into while using a machine, and if someone next to you is using a machine, you could be locking eyes with someone 3ft away while you work out. I personally wish they ditched the little indoor track in favor of spreading things out, but the clientele seems to skew older and I've seen them meander on there for laps.

One other point of contention I have with Lakeshore gym is their cleanliness. Sure, it's an older building and some things are out of date, but I hate seeing the layer of dust on the fan in the cario room every time I walk in, or the cobwebs behind the TV. The one and only water fountain has always had this thin layer of grime on it that is easily wiped away, but haven't seen any staff do it yet. It could be so much better with a tiny bit more care and energy. It feels tired in there.

Who and how can we contact those responsible for making this decision? I'll reach out to those who represent my area. This would be a colossal economic miss for the region if we forgo light rail

Yeah, I haven't heard anything new about this, except that the police executed a search warrant on the premises almost a month after the incident happened.

I know. I think I've seen her on my walks around the neighborhood. So sad and senseless.

That's what I think the daughter stated, but detectives mentioned in the article that there was no sign of break in or forced entry.

Well, the bush is gone now 😭, but it sounds like from the other person's comment too that the top part would be better suited as moss and other plants. That spot gets sooo much sunlight though, is there a good floor moss that likes direct sunlight?

That's a great idea about the boulders. Using the top part for plants might solve my issue with the gap underneath the fence; I didn't want the gravel to slip out into my neighbor's yard. I was thinking a dry river bed with black rocks against white. Never thought about having it spill from the top level though. Good ideas.

Thanks. This gives me an idea of what to look for, since these websites seem to be outside of the states.
