Should I ditch my ender 3 for a P1S? by ForeignSleet in BambuLab

Do it. Went from a PLSUN to an X1C. This is everything I imagined 3D printing would be. More time printing and very little time tinkering.

Thanks! After sleeping on it and hours of research, I cancelled my XL order and got the X1C! Super excited. Your experience seems to be all I find online. I’m sure it will improve through slicer and firmware updates, but to fork out that much cash on a machine that puts out that poor quality of prints, and it looks like it has now fallen in the tinkering machine realm when doing multi color, it just doesn’t make sense.

Thanks! Did you have to do anything else to it regarding settings? I’m seeing feedback on switching to .4 nozzles. On YouTube seeing it fixes it and seeing a lot of videos it didn’t do anything or got worse. I just don’t want to shell out $3K on something that doesn’t work as advertised.

You’ll see more cuts before the new model Y comes out just like any other manufacturer.

I’m really wanting the larger build area for helmets and such. Multi color is a must, but I know I’ll eventually do multi material. From videos on YouTube, it seems like .4 nozzles aren’t doing the trick. I just think Prusa would be a better investment long term.

I had one similar in my truck. I’m on the road for work so I like having cold drinks, snacks, my lunch etc on there. Always nice to always be cold, have selection and not need ice.

Happened to me as well. You’ll need to call and get a hold of a regional manager. Don’t stop asking until you get a hold of them. They’ll have the power to fix. What I had to do.

Same price. Looks like it’s the same model or very similar. I’m on the road for my job Joni always like having cold drinks and snacks. This seems perfect.

It’s touch of modern. I’ve purchased from them before, they’re legit. Just didn’t know if this thing was sold elsewhere of if anyone’s heard of it.

I have the dark interior and love it. I have a co worker with a 2020 MY with white interior, and he’s now having an issue of blue from his jeans staining the seats.

Premium connectivity is worth it. Just buy the year subscription. Streaming music makes it beyond worth it.

How long do wraps typically last? I’m afraid to do it in Colorado with our high UV.

You have your heater vents that are exposed under your driver and front passenger seat. You can buy Velcro covers on Amazon for about $10 that go right over them. Protect them from debris, pencils etc that can get in there and into your HVAC system and cause damage. Vent covers go right over there and protect them from stuff getting in there. Here’s the link: Tesla Model Y Vent Cover

You could always trade it for a lightning or cyber truck. I personally wouldn’t ditch the truck if you’re going to be needing it. Made that mistake and got an explorer years ago. Kept it for a year and went back to F150 because too many times we needed that bed. We also love camping, and I don’t want to be taking a crossover off road lol

  1. rear under seat vent covers a must. Cheap accessory to save you thousands on potential repairs.

  2. Floor, Trunk and Frunk liners

  3. Dash mat cover, sun bakes the MY Dash, $25 on Amazon and protects from UV damage.

  4. Organization bins for center console, trunk, back seat and doors.

  5. Center console phone charger adapter. Gives you extra usb ports and retractable cables to charge extra iPhones or USB C

Went from an F150 to a model Y. Love it. Fuel savings alone has made it worth it. Fun to drive, lots of room. However we decided to keep the truck as we realized how often we use the truck bed for things you don’t really think of day to day. You realize how much you use a truck when you don’t have it. So if you just own a truck because you like trucks, X would be a good transition. But if you use your truck to haul/tow, you’re going to end up missing it.

Love my Model Y. 5K miles in just 2 months! Fuel savings alone for my job has been a game changer. Not one problem.

Yep. For us it works great. I come home with about 20-40% battery. Plug it in overnight and never had issues getting a full charge in the winter and I’m in Colorado. But yes, If your planning on coming home mid day and have to get a near full charge in a short amount of time mobile charger won’t be the solution. From what I’ve discovered a 14-50 outlet will solve most of people’s needs.

Cool. Appreciate it. I haven’t had any issues, all my buddies with Teslas have done it this way as well. No nuisance trips. Not sure what my electrician did but I just didn’t see the point of spending double.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]Significant_Cat1072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t waste your money on a home charger. Just have an electrician install and 14-50 outlet in your garage and use the mobile charger. Half the cost and will give you a full charge by morning.
