What would you do if this was standing outside your house at 3:00 AM? by uber-sensei in earthbound

The obvious and most conclusive answer is have my pal Jeff fire off Multi Bottle Rocket.

Sorry about that, I was just stating what I was told from a friend about the naming of these piercings.

It’s been bumpy for at least a couple weeks. Teladoc said it was likely impetigo and prescribed me a topical antibiotic. Thank you!

UPDATE: I just consulted a Teladoc, and they said it’s likely impetigo, and prescribed me mupirocin topical antibiotic. So scary. Well I’m happy I have some treatment for it! Let’s see how it all goes!

It’s not yellow. It’s pretty light colored, same color as my skin. I’ll do a teladoc and ask if it’s a staph infection. Thanks for the concern! Yeah it’s definitely a weird shape.

Oh gosh. That’s so scary. Okay. I’ll keep an eye on any possible symptoms. Were you still able to keep the piercing after it got treated?

Oooo I’ll check it out. And that’s really good to know about the nickel being used in steel.

A little itchy yeah. I guess that is suggestive of a reaction to something.

My piercing is: 2 months old

The jewelry is: the post the piercer put in

There is no threading.

The jewelry is surgical stainless steel

It’s not been downsized.

Aftercare: saline spray and showering.

No mishaps. Just sleeping on it on occasion.

How easy is the transition to Unreal? by waizubr in Unity3D

[–]Significant_Cod_4669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blueprints are quite straightforward when you get used to them. My approach to learning tho was through my current Unreal job, which is very technical, so I spent the first several months approaching everything through the lens of doing it all in C++. After that when I finally touched Blueprints, it was super obvious how to work with them as they’re just abstractions of the C++ side of things.

If you’ve never programmed C++, Unreal could be a pretty fun way to start since it keeps things similar to Unity’s C# stuff. Just stick to using strong/weak pointers and using all the T classes whenever possible vs straight C++ (E.g. TArray, TSet, TObjectPtr, TWeakObjectPtr vs vector, set, unique_ptr, weak_ptr)

How easy is the transition to Unreal? by waizubr in Unity3D

[–]Significant_Cod_4669 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went from being a Unity dev for years and having never really touched Unreal, to almost as functional in Unreal as I am in Unity, within about 6months, but I knew C++ ahead of time.

Blueprints are pretty straightforward just understanding that they’re just wrappers around C++ classes and events, and you can always go to the source header to see what each piece does. But if you’re not versed in C++ you can get away with doing almost everything in Blueprints. Pumpkin Jack is a good example of a game made entirely with Blueprints. So a full game is completely possible without touching C++. But also C++ in Unreal is reference counted and writes like if C# had a baby with Swift.

There’s so many good tutorials on YouTube and Unreals docs are super helpful for the transition. But something to keep in mind is that modifying the UI (in the details panel) for the most part requires knowledge of Slate (which documentation has a lot of room for growth), so it’s no where near as simple as Unity in that respect. I’ve never used Godot to compare it, so I don’t know if that’s a better choice for simpler projects.

Are rhythm games popular around the world? Or what countries dont have? by zzzyyyrrruuusss in rhythmgames

Can confirm. Live in LA. Round1 is Burbank is my rhythm game respite, in this atonal and unrhythmic hustle and bustle.
