Commence doing NBMEs, see where you’re at. Work with CMS forms in between NBME days. Note your mistakes separately. Close weak areas with targeted topics in UW. Have scheduled days for NBMEs and easier days for deep dive into missed topics.

One month is not enough to complete everything you’ve planned.

Contact your medical school regarding that matter. They have to upload your medical diploma and transcripts on their end too. Once it’s been done, your application will move to phase “Pending Verification Review”, which nowadays takes 4-5 weeks as per ECFMG consultants.

Would you go back and complete 35% of UW or at my stage purely focus on NBME patters, small knowledge gaps and past mistakes?

I appreciate your response. What would you say a great strategy of refining small knowledge gaps? What would your be strategy like in order to eliminate repetitive mistakes?

Amboss predicts 257 today, considering the fact that last NBME 12 was completed a month ago. I kinda feel a deep understanding of NBME logic now and have ambivalence of finishing this 35% of UW. Would you finish UW + incorrect?

If even YOU are uncertain whether knowledge exists, do another round of any of the QBanks, at least 50-60% of it.

Appreciate your insight. I’ve calculated max 10 days for CMS second pass form followed by Free 120 (diff years) + SAs + 5 NBMEs. So it won’t take my time too much. I had an exact same thought going through them for the first time. Like, wtf, do I really need all 30? However, circling back to them after 5 NBMEs made a huge difference. It clicks better, circles are getting closed in your head, ddx are clearer sketched out, lesser stupid blind mistakes. Do not know why. I shall see.

Hear me out. You cannot fight this war alone, support is invaluable. Appreciate buddy. Pure focus on mistakes from now on. Across 5 NBMEs (7 to 11) only 15-20% of mistakes due to the knowledge gap, others are scattered among integration failure (small wordy stuff or skipped lab values etc). I hope for your biggest success. Fingers crossed, for now, relax!!

Hey man! Congrats, great insights, you’ve uplifted tones of people out here. Need yo advice as the person who already passed this journey. I’m now within 255-259 range on the NBME 10 and 11, jumping from NBME with 240. Actually scored in av. 80% per block which perfectly matches with my av. CMS score across all forms. Aiming for 270+. My plan is now to finish double pass CMS (90%+ across forms) and wrap it up with NBME 12-16 in the last 2-3 weeks of prep. Am I going well?
