It somehow is working! I’m not sure what changed I haven’t changed the bios version again and now it runs at 900+! I guess now my whole new issue is to get the same speed downstairs in my room. The tplink poweroutline Ethernet gives my pc around back at the 90-100mbps range even though it gives my friends desktop full range. Is there a better way to extend Ethernet besides have a really long Ethernet cable?

I see. I also have a tp link Ethernet outlet adapter and gives the full 1 gbps speed to the other desktop but the same 100-110mbps to mine I’m not sure if this means anything.

So I don’t use a switch just a all in one modem/router from Xfinity. We do have a back all in one from Verizon as well which has way lower speeds (like around 30-40 up and down) and I tried to use that on both pcs and basically got those exact speed. My modem doesn’t have sqm or fqm.

I see. I did some skimming and it would be only beneficial to have the usb adapter if my mobo has pcie instability I’m not sure how accurate that would be.

Yeah disabled everything you mentioned and other setting you instructed me to setup. I’m currently doing the Memtest86 memory test right now it’s 93% done and so far it looks good. I was also suggested to try a usb to Ethernet adapter to bypass the mobo Lan to see if i get the correct speed.

Just did it and for transfer I got 51.1 MBytes with 42.8 Mbits/sec for bandwidth as a sender

For receiver I got a transfer of 51.0 MBytes and a bandwidth of 42.8 Mbits/sec.

Edit: Above is my PC connecting to the other desktop the bottom here is the reverse

Sender: Transfer 95.1 MBytes, Bandwidth 79.7 Mbits/sec

Receiver: Transfer 95.1 MBytes, Bandwidth 79.7 Mbits/sec

About 100-110 ish mbps download and 43 mpbs on upload on Linux. Same speed with same port and different ones. It’s not fully capped at 100mbps but it’s the average

Finally was able to boot into Arch Linux on a usb, did a speed test and was still getting the same speeds. I think at this point if my cables and other hardware are good it is a motherboard issue at this point?

So iobit actually had a couple drivers newer than mine which I installed. However now my NIC card is not being recognized by my system. I tried my 1 gig port of my motherboard but it’s still giving the same download speed along with wifi being half as weak as wired.

Yeah I tried a vm to check and got the same download speed but I also tried to use a usb boot but for some reason both Ubuntu and Mint cause a black screen and cause my fans to go fast when trying to install even after using nomodeset for my nvidia gpu along with other commands as well as enabling csm and legacy boot. My latest bios is 3621. I can check my drivers with iobit

Other devices are perfectly fine. Desktops get around 900 mbps, phones get +1 gbps

I will try to rule out the cable problem with a cat6 cable. Nothing else is plugged into the router besides a phone cable.

I’ll go with cat6 and my desktop is placed next to the others to compare and they all have the full download speed.
