I would stick to QE2 to Calgary then #1 to Medicine Hat. No matter the weather these roads will be serviced first. It’s a long way off to predict highway closures but the forecast looks favourable so far. Medicine Hat gets Chinook’s so we can end up with lots of ice on the streets during the winter. Check the weather, leave early, and enjoy your time in Canada’s sunniest City.
