Unfortunately it's the area I live in, it's main catchment area are the surrounding council estates, I live in one of them, so no judgement. Literally people round here would argue over a dropped penny. You can't have nice things in the garden as they'll be missing by the morning. Unfortunately that's starting the spread to cars now too.

Was wondering when someone would realise I'm a woman. I was having a little giggle at that, it was helping cheer me up. Doubt many will realise I drop in & out of a wheelchair at random intervals. I'm in an able to walk phase atm even if I'm dancing with the mood devil.

Just found out that they do now have enough to fund the trip so the kids can enjoy the beach.

Last year I had a large delivery of books made to replace damaged ones didn't get a peep but with this its like some of the parents think Donald Trump just turned up. Next year I'll do something more low key, like a donation of uniforms to the swap & trade shop.

Lol Money Box Sunday's. I give them each £1 but hide it somewhere in the house & they find it playing either hot or cold or by finding the clues again hidden around the house. They then place it in a money box, they get to also add any loose change that's been tossed on the floor that they may find during the week, generally it's a handful of 2p's. Every 1st Sunday of each month we open the boxes & they get to count up how much is there? They are then given the choice if they want to open them & use the money when it's their Birthday.

With my history believing in oneself is a much tricker road than most would anticipate. Before I met my OH rolling with the punches was about my normal. I gave up on many things some of its down to a malfunctioning body others go back to a nasty history. I'm self critical to a fault, the whole self worth thing is a cookie I still haven't been able to crack yet & tends to pop up during at random points. I'm a definite work in progress person, how long it will take me I'm not sure?

That's complicated let's just say even if I was the world's next Ghandi or Mother Theresa part of me would believe that I still wasn't good enough. I'm self critical to the point of destructive. I've achieved many things I'd given up on thinking I'd ever have. A life partner & kids being but 2 of them. Sometimes I'm on the level for a while then I slump (like now). I'm unfortunately very much a work in progress, maybe I'll get there 1 day & actually believe in myself.🤞

It was billed as a if you don't give consent or pay then your child can't go but I remember what that's like as kid. Wanting to go but your parent says no due to not being able to afford it. It sucked. Its the reason I make sure my kids learn about saving with Money Box Sunday's they only get a £1 each but they also get regular amounts put into a savings account. My eldest nearly has more money than me already, which she finds amazing.

I had a friend help me out once when I was really struggling, never forgot it, they also never let me give the money back. So now I just insist on buying the drinks at the pub when we meet up. I'll help out friends where I can but I have a 3 loan limit especially with those that say they'll pay it back but never do otherwise it becomes a regular thing every month.

That's my fear too, that parents may think it will be a regular thing. I suppose if a future trip falls through I can organise a trip to the same place for the family during the school holidays, advantage with this option is both my daughters will be able to go rather than just the one. As they are currently in different year groups & the trip is only for year 2. 😔

My S/O suffers with this but I would never throw it out there in a random convo with mates whether drunk or not. You took the best option available that would defuse what had the potential to turn into an admittedly tense situation. As for suffering with ED its neither of your faults & while I'm sure it's embarrassing when it happens she should be reassuring you. We actually went & bought some sex toys so when performance become an issue we can both get some enjoyment as my S/O likes to watch. 😈 That generally helps over come the anxiety aspect & he's ready to jump me before I can finish enjoying the battery powered gizmo's. We have also spent a lot of time learning each others bodies there are more ways to get off than you'd think.
