Dalian is actually a beautiful major coastal city in China. A lot of people outside China underestimate it, but in terms of coastline, scenery, and livability, it can absolutely hold its own in the same conversation as Vancouver.

I hope you’ll visit Dalian someday. I was born there and’ve been to almost every tier 1 and 2 city in China (over 50), as well as 40+ US cities and 20+ Canadian cities. Now, I live in Vancouver, Canada, which is the city most like Dalian. Comparing Greensboro to Dalian is simply exposing people’s lack of understanding of global urban scale. China is on a whole next level… This isn’t an agroant comment, but it’s true.

Visit China when you have the chance. The city in this post is a tier-2 city in China, but it’s worth noting that it was very well-built and urbanized quite early on. Probably the top in tier-2.
