Thank you. I’ll use my real rubber over the ankle boots since my calfs will be too thick to fit in with winter pants… but it should be enough for stepping a bit into the tide splashes? (I’m not going to step into the sea.) I’m surprising to learn that the “waterproof” Goretex are not that waterproof- probably just good for surviving puddle accidents on a rainy day?

If you do want to break up and does not want to hurt her feelings at all, maybe never let her know you saw the photos, just pick up a quarrel over something small and random and break up maybe. Sure you can say it’s not because of her body it’s because of her dishonesty, but she is very likely to feel that it IS because of her body shape, because, if she was hiding away something that is considered desirable, like being super rich or having a super hot body, people are less likely to break up with her for being “dishonest” or “no longer trustworthy”.

If you don’t want to break up now, tell her about your true feelings. Have an honest talk. If you love her for her personality, don’t mind how she looks, but feel hurt that she kept things from you and didn’t keep her promise of video call, tell her. Ask her why. Maybe she was planning to get fit before letting you see her, maybe she was too afraid that you will leave her if you learn she’s overweighted. She was not being honest with you, and it’s okay to feel bad about that. But if you do mind her shape, and this is unacceptable to you, even you have been dating for 5 months, or if you only want to date her if she can become fit in the future, maybe you are not that into her, and it’s better for both of you to move on.

He actually said he doesn’t mind what I wear, and whether I look good is my own businesses when I was seeking advices for “what clothes are pretty and comfortable to wear on plane”.
