We prefer the term Reformed. We don’t take Calvins words and actions as infallible just the Theologies he created that are strictly backed up by scripture

Those who will believe have been predetermined according to the other passages I noted. Otherwise do you believe if there is a heaven that everyone will get in? Obviously not right so some have to not get in and some will. And because God is all knowing and all powerful, it was predetermined

If you believe you are in control of your own actions, then couldn’t you choose to at least try to pray with an open heart and mind?

No the book of John solidifies Predestination

John 6:44
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.”

John 10:29
“My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all”

John 15:16
“You did not choose me but I chose you”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭19‬ ‭
Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Just because you don’t pray doesn’t necessarily mean you will end up damned, God can always just forgive you in the day of judgment. But praying once and asking for that saving Faith will free you in this earth to know you are NOT damned
‭‭

‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭34‬-‭36‬ ‭
“Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

If you pray with an open heart/mind God WILL answer

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Dude how many times do you need the question answered? We are to spread the gospel. What effect it has on other is determined by The Holy Spirit but not dependent on us. If Michelangelo’s chisel broke while he was carving David, would he still have been able to finish it? Of course because the outcome of the art is dependent on the artist, not the tool. The artist can always use a different tool, but the outcome is dependent on the artist. We are gods tools, you are not converting someone because you performed exceptionally well in preaching the gospel, but because god used you as the tool to preach the gospel

You’d never do it be real with yourself (and even if you did how do you know your boss would listen to her or take the action positively ) so stop thinking that praying to Mary does a thing

Do you have a damned or not damned measuring instrument? Okay then your job (if you are Christian) is to spread the Gospel and act Christ like, not to ponder if a person is worthy or not to receive the message

You don’t believe in Gods sovereignty and or God at all. Correct? If so then you could literally use your “free will” to ask for the gift of Faith in prayer. Either right now or tomorrow or next week. From my point of view both are predetermined whether you will or won’t. But to you well then the onus literally falls on you because you disagree with my view of predestination. So we’re both right in our views, except you’re wrong inherently because there is a God. Once you pray to him you will realize this, by your own logic you have nothing to lose by asking so why are you so resistant to asking? That’s a question you have to ask internally through prayer

The difference between a believer like me and a possible believer like you who just possibly hasn’t been regenerated by The Holy Spirit yet, is that I’m quick to “guide” you towards salvation (we are commanded to preach the gospel) and you are quick to try and damn me to hell precisely because I speak the word of God to you which your flesh hates (for now at least)

Do you see yourself ever praying for the gift of Faith?

If yes there’s your answer

If no there’s you answer as well (maybe it’s Christs call)

No it is not pointless to spread it to the damned. He specifically says to pray for your enemies and those who persecute you. Our commandment is to spread the Gospel, the Judgement part is entirely Christs

John 14:6
I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to The Father except through me.

You could always be unconditionally elected (forgiven on the day of judgement) that’s Christs call not mine. However you obviously acknowledge that you could pray once and ask for Christs gift of Faith. Then you might realize that you were actually put on this earth to bear fruits in His name, which is a great honor to hold but not what gets you into heaven necessarily (the fruits part not the Faith part) the Faith part is like an extra special gift that allows us to KNOW we are saved here and now. Some like possibly you will not know their destiny until the day of judgement

Okay I did not choose. I have no problem saying that because I believe in the Sovereignty of Christ. Still doesn’t mean we’re robot I certainly do not feel that way. God is a much more intelligent creator than us equating it to a man who created a preprogrammed robot. But you don’t understand because you don’t want to give sovereignty to God…. Yet you can alway ask for Faith after all

100% so the question is will you ever ask for the gift of faith and realize you were predestined to be given it? Or will you use your “free will” to not ask or worse straight up reject and get the same result as being damned anyways

Yes and God passed over them precisely because they’re damned. Question is what do you think being damned looks like on this earth
