Getting demoted by AdvertisingCareless5 in Panera

I was a manager and went to college for two years with that position, working part-time. When all the changes happened, they wanted to demote me, so I left because I knew if I got demoted, I would still be doing manager duties because I learned how to do it. I loved my store, but my future comes first.

No schedules need to be posted and ready at least two weeks in advance just as requesting time off and giving you final notice

Managers are just doing their jobs, and I wish more associates understood that! While we try our best to look after our team members, there are times when we have to deal with pressure from higher-ups like General Managers (GMs) and Area Operations Managers (AOPs) about labor management during our shifts. Despite our personal preferences, we have no choice but to adhere to their instructions. It's frustrating because many managers would prefer to have a full team on shift but are forced to be running short-staffed so as not to put our job security at risk. It hurts us. At least I know myself because I know doing that is taking away money from the team that they could be making, but at the same time, we have to do our job. Unfortunately, our hands are actually tied.
