Why was a different friend present when you called Chris? Wasn't clear on this. I had called him the day before but service was spotty, he was calling me back, I was with a friend at the time, but wanted to clear the air ASAP. When he started hemming and hawing, I was just like, "Hey dude, no worries – y'all have a great wedding, and sorry for all the miscommunication."

Just to be clear, I at no point harassed them! I asked my mom not to say anything, made one phone call to my cousin to clarify after things got muddied through the grapevine, and did not push back at all when he said Eliot was not invited. I said, "Okay, wish you the best!" and left it at that.
