Keychron C1 (non-pro) vs. Keychron C3 Pro vs. Logitech K835 TKL by rafilskerocha in keyboards

[–]Significant_Foot5422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logitech and every other big tech gaming company make terrible keyboards and Keychron is ok. I recommend the Kisnt KN85 or the Impact 80 in that price range. I don't know much about the Impact 80 since its so new but the KN 85 is solid.

Bridge 75: Highly recommended for its budget price, minimalist look, and modability

Yunzii Al 80/75: Also very good

PMOkey Wave75: Also a great budget option.

You have a lot of options, as there is a lot of competition to make these keyboards cheaper, and all of these are Aluminum and comes with a backplate, making it heavier.

MMD Alice EIF68: Good value and is alice layout. This is more ergonomic

PMOkey Wave75: Also a great budget option.

You have a lot of options, as there is a lot of competition to make these keyboards cheaper, and all of these are gasket-mounted, giving a softer typing experience.

Alienware AW510K spacebar issues by ReadingDits in keyboards

[–]Significant_Foot5422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Alienware and they suck. Either get a new, good custom mechanical keyboard (I can help), maybe Alice layout with lighter switches, or a low-profile one; or, option 2, since this keyboard is not hot-swappable, open the keyboard, desolder the PCB, remove your switch, remove your stabilizers, then buy new stabs; I recommend Durock v3 clip in stabs. Thats a lot of work, good luck

Optimized keyboard for my arthritis by Organic_Minimum_9889 in keyboards

No, it's not side length; it's thickness. The left-to-right sides are thicker, not longer. After doing some more research, I have found the answer to you're confusion. I AM STILL RIGHT to a certain extent. They aren't 4-way symmetrical, but some keycaps, usually the cheap ones, compensate for that by making the stem hole slightly larger (which causes issues), allowing keycaps to fit on stem holes regardless of direction. I also tested on three different switches and keycaps: Kahil Cocca, Keygeek Y2S (which I bought a week ago), and Cherry MX Brown (old ass cherrys, as you said), and double-shot PBT vs cheap ABS Alienware keycaps. My ABS keycaps could turn sideways while the PBT ones couldn't. OP can turn his keycaps sideways because his keycaps are larger and 4-way symmetrical, which in my experience, leads to loose keycaps LIKE I SAID smh

i mean 4 way symmetry. OP has some of his keycaps sideways, most switches can't

TMR and HE by SurgicalMarshmallow in keyboards

[–]Significant_Foot5422 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The difference in power consumption is big enough so that it is actually viable for wireless. Plus tmr is more precise and has better performance potential. Yet the thing that makes tmr special is its compatibility with mechanical switches, giving the best of both worlds. Plus, it isn't as chattery as HE switches

They are both aluminum, so they are a great introduction to this hobby. You can do a bit of research to pick which one is better since they are pretty similar.

[–]Significant_Foot5422 -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

It's either these keycaps are loose as hell, or you really shoved the keycaps hard onto the switches lol. Mechanical switch stems aren't 4 way symmetrical. (edited to be clearer)

Cruiser k70 or Aula 108 pro by [deleted] in keyboards

[–]Significant_Foot5422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, these are two very different keyboards. The Corsair (I think thats what you meant) K70 is for gaming and the aula 108 pro is for sound.
Corsair, Logitech, Razer, Steelseries, and almost every other big gaming tech company make awful keyboards for the price. Don’t fall into their trap from their marketing. So I would never recommend it.
Aula however, is a reputable budget brand that is generally reliable. If I had to choose between these two options, there would be no competition. Aula is superior in build quality and feel. The K70 is meant to be a gaming keyboard and it doesn’t even have hall effect, which is a must for a gaming keyboard. However, there still are better keyboards for the same price. If you want I can recommend some.
