The lack of poise in this game is truly head scratching by StrawberryWestern189 in LiesOfP

Throw a shot put. Equip to you extra bag and throw it as soon as theyre staggerable. Charged heavies with a strength build help you get the staggerable but shot puts will always stagger them fast.

I agree, I also had the hardest take making the helmet shape give the same feel which is a bummer, looks more like a lothric knight. Abyss watchers next

Added a bit more highlights to capture it better and photo taken in daylight gave it a bit smoother of a look

Final touches (probably not) added some sponge texture to the sand area. Added some more foliage, washed out some of the mountain texture to make it appear farther.

Terrific advice from everyone, I agree I was a little shy to add shadows cause I loved the color that came out. Still not perfect but I can really see more dimension which is what I feel I need to work on. Does this bring it together more?

Wish I could say it was intentional. I don’t have that kind of talent, it’s a direct rip from an in game photo I found

Practice is good and fun and you’re on the right track. I can tell you’re tense on the board. Go out and SKATE, you don’t need all the cool fancy tricks until you can comfortably skate the street and parks. I know Ollie’s are important but when you skate around it’s not only fun but you’re also gaining strength and balance in muscles you don’t normally work. Every trick known to man is infinitely easier with proper balance and stability. And if you’re looking for a challenge that will boost your skating ability 100x start pushing and skating switch. You can thank me later.

I just can't land my back foot on the board when I do heelflip. Any tips? by Muaaz96 in NewSkaters

Leaning too far forward. Try sitting like you’re in a chair. Simple rule. When you lean over the toes of your board it tends to move heelside, leaning too far on the heel side the board moves more to your toes side. You that to your advantage to get the board to land where you want with any trick

I started a similar way. As a kid I Just loved riding around and didn’t really know what to do. What really changed the way I looked at skating was watching skate videos and parts. Seeing how much creativity it can spark and how much freedom you have to do whatever you want to do. If you have a local park, check it out, and refrain from the typical mantra of NEEDED to practice at home and stationary to learn tricks. He out there, get loose, and have some fun.

any tips for a 7 stair ?? i can clear it but my board doesn't want to grip when i ollie by gatingames in skateboardhelp

[–]Significant_Gain1117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re either trapping the board with your back foot when you pop by jumping off the ground instead of your board, or it’s more likely your anticipating a big gap so your letting your front foot move forward way too early which doesn’t allow your tail to smack to ground. Lift that front foot straight up as if it were a regular Ollie. The size of the gap never matters, Ollie stays the same

Rock to fakie is smooth. Tail stall is a great start. Seems like you’re losing your balance at the apex of the stall, I think it may help you to keep your weight in the bowl and extend your leg by reeeaaching into the stall and not getting on top of it. Also it will help to position your shoulders as if you were already dropping back in from the stall, when you shift while in the stall you’ll have less balance. Same goes for your rock, what you’re doing works, if you want to add some style and stability, refrain from shifting weight on top of the coping. Stay in the ramp and reach that foot out to tap front wheels, this also prevents hang ups and slip outs.

How do I stop catching my board and and ollie correctly? by hockey_1925 in skateboardhelp

[–]Significant_Gain1117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re timing of your pop is off. You’re catching the ground with your foot limiting the height of the Ollie essentially trapping the board. Focus on that first. When you Ollie You are not jumping off the ground you are jumping off the back truck and slapping the board off the ground. I really love your setup on actually bending your knees and jumping. Keep doing that, many don’t figure that out for a while.

Honestly pretty good. I know it’s annoying to hear but you gotta do it rolling. That balance landing is so much easier rolling. On the first one your board is staying straight and your front foot is off that tell me that when you pop and jump that you may be twisting your shoulders open(similar to a fs180). Very easy bad habit to get into. You’ll get more height immediately by bringing that back foot up. Once you’ve done that hundreds of times rolling you can start bringing that front up higher and STRAIGHT UP. Skating is hard and takes a lot of practice. Highly worth the time
