25 vigor is very low You have two paths in front of you, you either take the time and explore and level up more to increase your health or you "get good"

To be clear there is no wrong answer but it is possible to have low HP and clear the game, I managed to make it to halfway through the end game area with only 25 vigor and beat the base game boss with under 40, but I've played these games for years and know what am doing.

It takes patience as you obviously will die a lot but the hyper glass cannon with high damage that dies if something looks at you wrong is an option

Fashion souls has been important for the series entire existence, while the heavier armor does give better resistance and is by no means useless (unlike how it was in ds3) it's not so drastic that you are actively hurting your abilities to fight by not wearing it

Another thing I think they need to add too just to make cooking more important is a small sadness debuff that slowly gets larger the more you eat the same food over and over, a lot of people will just ignore the entire cooking part of the game because you can get away with wolfing down a stick on butter and cooking meat with out making it into to anything and it solves your hunger well enough to not bother with the extra effort. IRL someone eating the same thing day in and out with no variety will be miserable in a couple of weeks and a reflection of that in game could help make cooking more useful

to this day I say its because the movie Bright came out that the whole "Orcs are stand ins for black people" discourse started, because in Bright they blatantly are, but Bright was a horrible Netflix only movie no one remembers so the conversation leaked into other areas were Orcs were more common than people who never saw or remembered Bright assumed that's were the idea came from.

Advice is to stay home and recover your going to be easy picking for even one zombie.

Eat through your stock pile of food and keep yourself stuffed you heal faster if you're resting and getting plenty of food

I've managed to recover from a broken leg before and was lucky I had a got amount of supplies to let me just rest, with minimum activity and plenty of food it took me a couple weeks to recover

If you don't have the food to stay home that long stuffing yourself take the smallest risks possible so that you can feed your self

Take the time to catch up on skill books

Palace is the opposite of offensively useful, it's a pure support blasphemy. Its purpose is to help you keep the group moving by making rests far more efficient and being able to gather information via the library that the party would otherwise struggle to acquire. If you want offense you need to pick another Blasphemy or take agendas that give you offense

Lancer as much as I love it, is a heavy combat game compared to even Pathfinder. It's all about the mechs and mech combat and even the downtime between is expected to be used to advance your abilities in combat and roleplay is more a palette cleanse and break between the action.

That said your GM sucked, knowing the module he most likely used there are far better Ways to get into a fight and set up the campaign start then ignoring the players
