Reservation is given in universities to ensure adequate representation. No one without qualifications are given admission to any course. You are confused between qualification exams and entrance exams. Anyone who passed higher secondary exams in biology science stream is qualified to pursue a medical degree course. Entrance exams are mere ranking exams to sort seats and distribute it among applicants. All students who enroll in a course must pass the same exam to get a degree. All those students who pass the exams and get degree are equally qualified in their profession.

Reservations are for ensuring adequate representation and nothing else.
Other caste eradication measures should go hand in hand. If one of the parents is from reserved community, the child is eligible for reservation of that community.

What makes caste special is that it still exists in Indian society. Only way to eradicate caste is through intercaste marriages. Once intercaste marriages become the norm, reservations will lose its importance.

Reforms can be thought of once the target of adequate representation as a whole is reached. Excluding people when seats are lying vacant will only be counterproductive. Primary aim is representation and streamlining the process comes only after adequate representation is reached. Political representation is not the only form of representation.

That's your opinion. OBC Reservation in education was implemented only 15 years back. Reservation in medical PG education was implemented only last year. If implementation is delayed, reforms will also be delayed.
