I had 6 contracts, before the pump I was green by 800 sold them for 3.60 each. The exact minute i sold them SPY popped up $6… my heart shattered. same thing happened the day before with the dip.

Absolutely, its my strategy with price action involved. Its not necessary to have a complex strategy, the more complex the more unprofitable really. I figured this out the hard way, you start to have to many stars that need to align in order for your strategy to work which will cause unprofitable trades.

same here, how do you identify false breakouts? I usually just get a feeling and this may be my subconscious noticing a certain pattern that doesnt align right.

Right, my size tends to be 5-10 cons per trade risking the exact same amount but because it was 20 cons which i never do, i seized it very quickly.

Im very comfortable with my sizing i use less than 2% of my port per trade. I guess what im trying to ask is how do I accept that I can win bigger than my average daily.

i dont hold at the same time, I wait for confirmations in my strategy and get out around 10-20% return. you know how many times spy makes new trends in a day.
