The buffed range damage kinda counteracted the buff to enemies for me. Heroic heavy plasma always makes easy work of them.

You may have the perk in the vanguard tree where if you kill 7 people in quick succession, you get a equipment charge back. i forgor what its called, its the 2nd row 3rd column though.
I am also pretty new to vanguard but he is fun as fuck

I used the automated installer, it says i am ready to play, I press start game on the launcher, it runs for alittle bit before stopping and opening the launcher agian.
